India in Danger: The Offensive of Islam by Bojil Kolarov, Udyam Vividha, 60 pp, Rs 45.00

This is a small booklet by an inveterate traveller born in Bulgaria and who lived in Russia and Germany for a major part of his life. Inspired by Indian culture, he made several trips to India to explore the Indian civilisation.

The author calls the invaders of India, particularly the Punjab, as ?barbarians? and is highly critical of Mohammad of Ghaznavi, ?a Turk from Middle Asia, who moved the capital of his state in Ghazni. In the course of the next ten years his army undertook a series of ravaging military campaigns against India, turning her north-west provinces into piles of burning ashes and killing more than one hundred thousand people.? What pains him most is that ?the invaders forcefully imposed in the sacred land of the Vedas, a doubtful religion?Islam?standing in most cases far lower than Hinduism. In the next ten centuries, the former spread all over the country like an epidemic to such a degree that today it encompasses almost one-third of the population of the sub-continent and has turned into the greatest ever threat to the existence of the Indian civilisation.?

The subject matter of this booklet is the history of India, its destiny and the causes that brought her downfall in the last millennium. It is an attempt by a foreigner to analyse the circumstances that transformed a great people into a peripheral human formation from the Third World and threatened to be engulfed by the Muslim spirit any time in future.

(Udyam Vividha, 22 Hirkani Society, Pandurang Wadi, Road No. 3, Goregaon (East), Mumbai-400063.)

The Hindu Writers? Forum came into existence on finding the committed activists of Islam and Christianity, under the patronage of the so-called secular government supported by Marxists, working towards destroying the Hindus and the Hindu Dharma. The Forum has been playing an important role in presenting authentic records of the atrocities committed by Islamic and Christian missionaries and Imams on Hindus during the last 12,000 years. The Forum has brought out a few booklets which are described below:

Hindu Naam: Tathya aur Satya (in Hindi; Rs 20.00) by Swami Vijnananand, who has quoted from the Ramkosh to explain that the Hindu is the Aryan and the Aryan is the Hindu. Time demands that forgetting this controversial issue, we should work towards uplift of Hindu Dharma and Hindu culture so as to establish Hindu rule. Swami Vijnananand has given clear answers with proofs to counter the controversies over the birth of Hindu names. He has justified how the name ?Hindu? has been in use since thousands of years and references to which can be found in the Sanskrit used in the Vedas and the several proofs found in the literature of that period. Thus this name was not given to Hindus by foreigners but has been in use by Arabs and Persians to convey their highest regard and respect for the name ?Hindu?.

Secular Bharat mein Muslim Rajniti (in Hindi; Rs 4.00) by Dr Krishna Vallabh Paliwal shows that today all political parties are engaged in appeasement of minorities, particularly the Muslims, because this community, for its religious and political welfare, acts in unison to cast its votes ?in the name of Allah? and ?on fatwas received from the Imams?. The author asks, ?Why and what is secularism? Do Islam and Christianity follow secularism? What is the meaning of jehad in secular India?? He has held the successive Indian governments and political parties as co-conspirators in jehad.

Islam ki Manyataein aur Uddeshya (in Hindi; Rs 4.00) by Dr Krishna Vallabh Paliwal talks of the history of Islam, its period of advent and growth, its religious treatise, its different sects, beliefs, principles and objectives. He has expounded on the political objectives of the Indian Muslims. (Hindu Writers? Forum, 129-B MIG Flats, Rajouri Garden, New Delhi-110027.)

A Monograph on World Trade Organisation by Dr D.R. Agarwal, Institute of International Trade, 104 pp, Rs 100.00

As we are all aware, the WTO was established on January 1, 1995, 47 years after the signing of GATT. The WTO touches almost all-important activities including agriculture, manufacturing, services and intellectual property rights and which became fully operational under one rule of trade from January 2005. Global interaction rather than insulated isolation is the mantra of present-day world. Whether we talk of fiscal, monetary or trade policies, or policies dealing with privatisation, labour laws or foreign investments, all are guided by the forces of globalisation piloted through the board-room of WTO. The dispute-settlement body of WTO has recently given its verdict by upholding the voice of world farmers against the trade-distorting agricultural subsidies of the USA and the European Union. Read this book for more update on the subject.
