SambaLpur is one of the tribal districts of Orissa, known for its rich culture and heritage. For long it has been the conversion haven for the Christian missionaries. Recently, a marriage party comprising of 90 Christian fathers was on its way to a marriage ceremony in a truck from village Jamankeri to Goudpil. Unfortunately, their vehicle met with a horrible accident; 10 of them died on the spot and 80 other pastors were seriously injured. It was a lonely night and nobody was around to help these unfortunates. Their plaintive cries for help in the dense forest went in vain. In the meantime, one Sangh Swayamsevak Sarveswar Bhai was passing through that way. He heard their shouts and communicated the news to the local Swayamsevaks.

The pastors were resued and admitted to nearby hospital, 45 kms from the site, in that dark night. Not only this, the Swayasevaks provided medicines and food to the injured.

Subsequently, 50 Swayamsevaks under the leadership of Rajkumar Podhar, Vibhag Sewa Pramukh, rushed to the spot, without any hesitation. The pastors were rescued and admitted to a nearby hospital, 45 kms from the site, in that dark night. Not only this, the Swayamsevaks provided medicines and food to the injured. So much so, when the blood bank was unable to supply the required quantities of blood, the Swayamsevaks donated their own blood and the pastors got a new lease of life. ?These boys of RSS have given us a new life. We are grateful to them. May God bless them,? said Bishop Wilson Samal while expressing his gratitude.

?We have not done anything much. What we have done, has been done so from humanitarian point of view. All of us are human being. Nobody is small and nobody is big; all are children of God,? replied Bipin Bihari Nanda, Prant Karyavaha of RSS.
