The Gujarat unit of Sanskrit Bharati recently organised a seminar on India'scontribution in the field of science. Since in this era of globalisation and computers, the Indians are blindly following the West, the Sanskrit Bharati has decided to propagate the outstanding contributions made by India in the field of science. The topic of discussion in the first session was ?Aeroplane Technology?.
Speaking on the topic, Dr D.K. Hari apprised the audience of the aeroplane technology available in ancient Indian scriptures. Referring to the Yantra Sarvasva, a book by Bhardwaj Rishi, he provided detailed information on different kinds of aeroplanes and also on aeroplane technology, impact of the atmosphere, dress and diet of pilot, air traffic, etc. Speaking during the second session, which was on Indian system of tabulation, he provided detailed information on tabulation, calculation of time, speed of planets, etc.
