Annual get-together of Balvadi

The annual get-together of the Omkar Balwadi run by Hindu Education Society and Vishwa Hindu Parishad was organised in Murud-Janjira, a coastal town in Raigarh district of Konkan Prant. More than 100 children presented impressive folk dances and songs. The children dressed themselves in fancy dresses of various communities of the country. Established in 1934, the Hindu Education Society has been conducting various educational and cultural activities. These include a Balwadi for 140 children, a well-equipped gymnasium and a hostel for 30 school-going children of the local Koli community.

Shikshak Sammelan by Sanskrit Bharati

VSK, Patna

The Bihar unit of Sanskrit Bharati organised a two-day Shikshak Sammelan at Sadakat Ashram in Patna. A total of 125 selected teachers participated in the training camp. Shri Chamu Krishna Shastri, the all India organising secretary of Sanskrit Bharati, and Smt. Kiran Saluja of Delhi University guided the teachers.
