The day will be registered as a historic in the history of Barmer city of Thar Desert in Rajasthan. The whole city turned saffron to welcome the RSS Sarsanghachalak, who visited the city after a gap of 40 years. The second Sarsanghachalak Shri Guruji had visited the city 40 years back. On the day of Simavarti Hindu Sammelan, five pathsanchalans, named as Sindhu, Brahmaputra, Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati, began from five different places and culminated at Adarsh Stadium where the Sarsanghachalak addressed the Hindu Sammelan. The pathsanchalans were widely welcomed by the people of the city wholeheartedly. Shri Sudarshan expressed concern over the decline in Hindu population and also over growing criminilisation of politics. Commenting on the decline in Hindu population he said, ?We two, ours two, should no longer be our slogan. Rather we should resolve to ?We two, ours at least four?.? Alerting the people of border areas, the Sarsangha-chalak pointed out that Pakistan wanted to convert India into an Islamic nation. That was why it was accelerating infiltration of Muslims, he said and added that the increase in madarsas in the border areas was also a matter of great concern. The Sarsan-ghachalak also said that China was trying its best to ruin the Tibetan culture and Bharat should talk to China in strong words so that it should not face the consequences in future.
