Shrikant Joshi, the Akhil Bharatiya Prakashan Pramukh of RSS, has stressed the need to spread Sangh ideology among all sections of the society including the courts, schools, offices, villagers, labourers, etc. through different medium of mass communication. Shri Joshi was speaking at the concluding ceremony of a two-day meeting of Kashi Prant Prachar Vibhag in Varanasi on January 24. He said, “The media has a great impact on the society and people start saying and thinking whatever the media feeds them. But, unfortunately, the major section of Indian media is being represented by anti-Hindu elements. We have to change this scenario,” he said. Citing the example of the recent arrests of Kanchi seers, Shri Joshi said the society had not reacted as strongly as it should have due to the negative publicity made by the media on the arrests. “This shortcoming of the medium of publicity must be corrected, otherwise the humanist Hindu society, which has been supporting all constructive social reforms, will remain a victim of criticism,” he said.
