A three-day national convention of Swadeshi Jagaran Manch (SJM) will be held in Bhubaneswar from December 26 to 28. Giving details of the convention, Shri Saroj Mitra, national co-convenor of SJM, said that among other issues the convention would extensively discuss the possible steps taken by the developed nations during the sixth ministerial level convention of WTO to be held in Hong Kong in December 2005 and also the defensive steps to be taken by the developing countries like India. He said that discussion would also be held on alternative models of environmental friendly developments. He said there would be parallel sessions on women empowerment, organic farming, cow protection, alternative treatment and WTO. According to Shri Mitra, Shri Muralidhar Rao, S. Gurumurthy, K.N. Govindacharya and Dr Mahesh Sharma will be the prominent participants in the convention.
