?The state assembly in Punjab passed a resolution that it would not give water to Haryana. Tamil Nadu is not ready to give water to Karnataka. The Chief Minister of Assam does not want its water to enter West Bengal. Such tendencies are not in the interest of the country. Water does not belong to any particular state. We should not consider the welfare of states but the all-round development of the nation,? said RSS Sarsanghchalak Shri K.S. Sudarshan at a function held in Haridwar after the Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal meeting on November 7.
He said, the Bill passed by the Jammu and Kashmir government stipulates that girls will lose the right to property in case they marry a boy belonging to other states except Jammu and Kashmir. Such narrow-mindedness must be given up in the interest of the all-round development of the nation. The entire nation belongs to me?such a feeling should be in every Indian'smind.
He said the Sangh was not founded to frighten others. ?The strength of the Sangh lies in a strong nation. Others need not be afraid of the Sangh until they have some kind of prejudice in their mind. The Sangh is against those anti-national forces, which do not work for cohesion in the country. The Sangh believes in achieving power because only one who has power is honoured, respected and worshipped. No one listens even to the tatvagyan of a man of letters who is weak. Bharat is the greatest land in the whole world as there is unity, love and affection despite its innumerable diversities. No other country has so much variety and unity as Bharat has,? he said.
The Ganga is known by its various names but its flow is one. In the same way there are many differences but the Hindus are one. Despite several paths, all have a single goal; despite so many languages all have a single feeling. The RSS has been working since the last 79 years to create harmony among various sections of the people. The result has been positive. The Sangh has succeeded in bringing the people of different paths, castes and creeds together. Everyone should have the feeling that he is a Hindu first. Everyone should think that Bharatmata is his mother and he is her son. Our aim should be to work for the progress of Bharatmata and for her all-round development. The Sangh works to create a feeling of patriotism in every son and daughter of Bharatmata. Narrow thoughts are a major obstacle in the development of a country. We should get rid of such narrow thoughts, he added.
?If Hindutva and saffron are not acceptable, how can Marx and Stalin be accepted in Bharat? Hindutva is the soul and heart of Bharat. Hindutva makes us know about Hindustan. Patriotism can be taught through Hindutva. Communists boast of their principle to institute development. They think that revolution is the only way to end exploitation but they have failed in their objective in West Bengal. They have been ruling in West Bengal since the last 27 years but they have not achieved any progress in any field. West Bengal, which stood in the fourth position in the economic field in 1971-72, dropped to 14th position in 1997-98. The Communist government had to pay Rs 500 crore to the labourers. Over 15 to 20 per cent people are living below the poverty line. One thousand people have died of hunger in West Bengal. There are 35,000 vacancies for teachers. Nearly 3,000 schools are being run only by single teachers. The government there spent only Rs 857 crore out of Rs 15,000 crore. Their tendency is not in favour of the nation. They do not believe in constructive work. They consider the RSS their greatest enemy while the RSS is doing yeomen service to the nation. The Sangh prays to God for the glory of Bharat,? he said.
