Ashes immersed in the Ganga

Sacred ashes of Dattopant Thengadi were immersed at four places in the country. After his cremation in Pune, four kalash of ashes were sent to four different places so that a maximum number of workers could pay tributes to their beloved leader. Two kalashes were immersed at Nashik and Ramtek on October 21 and 24 respectively.

According to Shri Omprakash Aggi, organising secretary of BMS, Shri Ramdas Pande, national secretary of BMS was present at both the places. The third kalash was taken to Prayag where it was immersed in Sangam on October 28. Shri Girish Awasthi, deputy secretary general of BMS, was present on the occasion. The fourth kalash was taken to Delhi and was kept at the BMS headquarters at Paharganj where lakhs of people paid their tributes from October 21 to October 31. Later, the kalash was kept at the condolence meeting held within the premises of Constitution Club on October 31 and from where it was taken to Haridwar to be kept at the Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal meeting of RSS. After this, the ashes were immersed in the Ganga on November 5 by RSS Sarsanghchalak Shri K.S. Sudarshan. Shri Bhaiyaji Joshi, Sahsarkaryavah, Shri Ramlalji, Kshetriya Pracharak, Shri Shiv Prakash, Uttaranchal Prant Pracharak, Shri Ramanbhai Shah, BMS organising secretary, Shri Om Prakash Aggi, BMS organising secretary, Shri Udayrao Patwardhan, BMS general secretary, Shri Satish Thengadi, nephew of Dattopantji, and many other dignitaries belonging to various organisations were present on the occasion.
