?Today if we agree on just two issues out of 100, it is enough for us. The day will come when we all shall be agreeing on the remaining 98 issues too. We shall discuss all the issues including jihad, cow slaughter, Common Civil Code and Article 370. We feel that life moves with truth and brotherhood. What we need to do today is to break all barriers of hate. We have to unitedly create a world where there exists everything, including peace and brotherhood,? said Shri Indresh Kumar, Akhil Bharatiya Sah-Sampark Pramukh. He was speaking at a seminar held in Meerut to celebrate the 147th anniversary of the first freedom movement of 1857. The seminar was organised by the Bharatiya Muslim Parishad.

Speaking on the occasion, Smt. Nafisa Hussain, member, National Commission for Women (NCW), said that Meerut was the city that blew the first bugle of freedom. ?We might have got political Independence now, but our society is still a slave. There are evils in the society. Muslim women are not getting education. Some people wrongly propagate that providing education to Muslim girls is anti-Islam, whereas our Prophet had supported girls? education,? she said, exhorting the Muslim society to remove evils from among it and resolve for eradicating the wrong practices.

President of My Hindustan, Mohammad Afjal, advocated the imposition of a ban on cow slaughter. Astrologer, Acharya Habib, pointed out the evils that existed among both the Hindu and the Muslim society. He said only honesty could bring both the communities together. Another speaker, Salim Ansari, stressed the need that like other countrymen Muslims should also work with patriotism. Senior journalist, Muzaffar Hussain, president, Bharatiya Muslim Parishad, Umer Ahmed Ilyasi, also spoke on the occasion.
