Ushatai Chati, Pramukh Sanchalika of Rashtra Sevika Samiti, has called upon the Samiti'sactivists to establish effective contacts with women in remote areas of the country. She was speaking at the concluding ceremony of a three-day meeting of the Samiti in Nagpur recently. ?The vested interests adversely affect the country. We shall get real success only through selfless work. The extension of work is a must. We should have live contacts with the people of rural and remote areas,? she said. ?All our efforts should be aimed at inculcating samskars among the rural children and inspiring them to tread the right path. We should try to reach the people living in remote areas to learn their problems and steps should be taken to enhance their living standard. Until we raise the self-confidence of the poor, they cannot be self-dependent,? she added.
