In a circular dated August 22, 2026, the Directorate of CGHS clearly mentioned that the notice was neither issued nor authorised by the Directorate. It also categorically clarified that the information contained in the notice is false.

Fake notice claimed closure for NEET-PG exam duty

The fake CGHS notice stated that Wellness Centres would be closed because Medical Officers were being deployed for NEET-PG examination duty. CGHS offices and officials have been instructed not to display or circulate the unauthorised notice. The Directorate has also taken note of the unauthorised use of the CGHS name and logo and has asked officials to report any information regarding the source or circulation of the notice.

What should CGHS beneficiaries do?

CGHS beneficiaries should ignore the fake closure notice and check Wellness Centre timings, holidays and services through official CGHS sources. They can get updates from the CGHS website, myCGHS 2.0 app or their concerned CGHS office instead of relying on messages shared on unofficial platforms.
