The students’ protest reportedly centred on what they described as unfair treatment of Mondal. They claimed that the teacher was popular among students and questioned the decision to suspend him following the alleged incident inside the school premises.
The highway blockade brought attention to the growing discontent among the students, who demanded action over the circumstances surrounding Mondal’s suspension. The protest also raised questions about whether the school administration had adequately examined the events leading up to the disciplinary action.
The incident comes amid heightened concern over disputes within educational institutions, where disciplinary proceedings involving teachers can have a direct impact on students and the wider community.
As the protest intensified, police personnel reached the spot to bring the situation under control and prevent the blockade from escalating further. Authorities are expected to examine the circumstances of the assault, the school’s decision to suspend Mondal and the grievances raised by the protesting students.
