The Chief Minister also met Union Minister for Railways, Information and Broadcasting, and Electronics and Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw, in New Delhi to discuss key infrastructure priorities for the state.

During his meeting with the Union Home Minister, the Chief Minister provided an update on Odisha’s ongoing developmental initiatives, the law and order situation, the internal security framework, and the implementation of various welfare schemes. A key focus of the discussion was Odisha’s emergence as a “Naxal-free state.” Majhi expressed gratitude to Amit Shah for his strong leadership in curbing Maoism, noting that successful anti-Naxal operations have created a conducive environment for socio-economic development in previously affected regions. He also highlighted that the state government is implementing comprehensive welfare measures in these areas through initiatives like the “Gramodaya Yojana,” ensuring that both central and state schemes effectively reach the grassroots.

The Chief Minister further stated that proactive policing has helped maintain a stable law and order situation across the state. He also discussed Odisha’s rapid industrialization over the past two years and sought continued support from the Union Home Ministry to strengthen industrial security and accelerate economic growth.
