PUNE: Speaking at a special interaction programme in Pune, RSS Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Sunil Ambekar said that Gen Z is deeply connected with Bharat’s traditions and history and is playing an important role in bringing positive social change.
Sunil Ambekar shared the Sangh’s perspective on registration, Gen Z, demographic imbalance and the Muslim community.
Responding to a question regarding the “Cockroach Janata Party” movement, he said, “Elections in Bharat are conducted democratically at all levels. Our judiciary, administration and media function with complete independence. In such a strong democracy, if someone raises their voice, the system should have the capacity to hear it and take appropriate cognisance. Therefore, there is no reason to be surprised or astonished by such movements.”
Rejecting the confusion being spread by certain politicians regarding the registration of the RSS, he said, “There is no legal dispute whatsoever regarding the lawful existence of the Sangh. Certain elements are attempting to create confusion solely for petty political gains. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is a fully lawful and recognised social organisation. This is why, after Independence, governments of different periods have sought the active cooperation of the Sangh during national emergencies and constructive initiatives.
Permissions for Sangh path sanchalans are granted by the administration in accordance with established procedures. Moreover, authorised bank accounts are operated in the names of our local shakhas. All financial transactions of the Sangh are completely transparent and are conducted only through the banking system. Through its daily shakha methodology, the Sangh remains directly accountable to society every day.”
Speaking on the relationship between the Muslim community and the Sangh, he said,
“It is a historical fact that Hindu-Muslim conflicts existed in the country due to separatist tendencies long before the establishment of the Sangh. Unfortunately, before Independence, a poisonous notion was propagated within sections of the Muslim community that changing one’s mode of worship changes one’s nation, ancestors and history. It was this divisive mindset that ultimately led to the tragedy of Partition. It is encouraging that positive initiatives for social reform are now emerging from within the Muslim community itself. Indian Muslims should look not towards Pakistan for inspiration, but towards the cultural example of Indonesia, which adopted Islam while preserving its original Hindu cultural roots.”
He said, “At present, countries such as those in Europe and China have reversed their earlier policies after facing the consequences of self-destructive population policies. In this context, maintaining demographic balance is even more important for Bharat’s national security.”
Recalling the unfortunate Partition of 1947, he warned that the division of the country also occurred due to demographic imbalance. He said that if such an imbalance emerges again in any region in the future, it would become extremely difficult to preserve the identity, security and Sanatan culture of an Akhand Bharat. Therefore, it is essential that citizens who believe in Bharatiya culture and national commitment remain in the majority in every region and corner of the country.
