Accused Nida Khan reportedly admits taking victim for religious instruction, teaching Islamic rituals

The corporate jihad case involving a Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) employee in Maharashtra’s Nashik has taken a significant turn, with fresh disclosures emerging during police interrogation of the accused. Investigators are now examining what they describe as a prolonged pattern of religious instruction, ideological influence and behavioural conditioning aimed at gradually altering the victim’s religious beliefs and lifestyle.

According to sources associated with the investigation, one of the accused, Nida Khan, has admitted during questioning that she personally taught the victim how to perform Namaz and regularly took her to her residence for religious guidance and instruction. The revelations come days after allegations surfaced that the victim was subjected to sustained pressure to abandon Hindu practices and adopt Islamic customs.

The latest disclosures are being viewed by investigators as potentially crucial in establishing the nature and extent of the interactions between the accused and the victim.

‘I Personally Trained Her in Namaz’

According to sources familiar with the ongoing probe, Nida Khan acknowledged before investigators that she played a direct role in introducing the victim to Islamic religious practices.

“Khan told investigators that she taught the victim how to offer Namaz and took her to her residence for religious instruction,” a source associated with the investigation reportedly said.

Investigators have also identified the location where the religious sessions allegedly took place. Police are now attempting to establish the frequency of these meetings, who participated in them and whether they formed part of a larger effort to influence the victim’s religious identity.

The admission is significant because it appears to corroborate allegations that the victim was not merely exposed to Islamic content casually but was systematically trained in specific religious rituals and practices.

Officials are currently examining whether these activities were voluntary exchanges between colleagues and friends or whether they constituted part of an organised effort to encourage religious conversion.

Gradual Introduction to Islamic Practices

Sources indicate that the victim was allegedly introduced to various Islamic customs over an extended period.

Investigators believe the process went beyond discussions about religion and included active participation in rituals, prayers and religious observances.

The case has attracted attention because of allegations that the victim’s religious habits, lifestyle choices and social interactions were gradually influenced through repeated exposure to religious teachings.

Police are attempting to reconstruct the timeline of events to determine when the alleged religious instruction began and how it evolved over time.

The investigation is particularly focused on whether the victim was subjected to psychological pressure or emotional persuasion designed to make her increasingly dependent on the accused for religious guidance.

Ramzan Fasts and Alleged Religious Pressure

One of the most serious revelations emerging from the investigation concerns allegations that the victim was encouraged and at times allegedly pressured—to observe Islamic fasting practices during the holy month of Ramzan.

According to sources, Nida Khan informed investigators that co-accused Danish and Tausif insisted that the victim observe all 30 days of fasting.

“Danish and Tausif wanted her to keep fasts for all thirty days of Ramadan,” a source quoted Khan as telling investigators.

Investigators are examining whether the insistence on strict observance of Islamic rituals was merely religious advice or whether it crossed the line into coercion.

The allegations have gained significance because fasting during Ramzan is considered one of the central religious obligations in Islam. Police are seeking to determine whether compelling a non-Muslim woman to participate in such observances formed part of a broader attempt to reshape her religious beliefs and identity.

Sources indicate that investigators are examining messages and conversations to understand the nature of discussions surrounding fasting, dietary practices and religious observance.

Religious Gatherings Conducted at Victim’s Residence

Another aspect under scrutiny involves religious programmes allegedly organised at the victim’s residence.

According to investigators, Nida Khan reportedly conducted Islamic religious gatherings and rituals at the victim’s house on multiple occasions.

A source involved in the investigation stated that religious programmes were allegedly organised several times and that police are now examining the circumstances under which they took place.

Investigators are attempting to determine who attended these gatherings, what activities were conducted and whether the events were intended to familiarise the victim with Islamic practices.

Officials are also examining whether such gatherings were connected to the broader allegations of religious influence that form the basis of the case.

Digital Trail Raises New Questions

Perhaps the most striking aspect of the investigation is the extensive digital evidence that has emerged during the probe.

Police have reportedly discovered that the victim received as many as 171 links containing religious content.

The volume of material shared has become a major focus for investigators, who are analysing whether the content was sent as part of ordinary religious discussions or as part of a sustained effort to influence the victim’s worldview and faith.

Investigators are examining chat records, WhatsApp communications, social media interactions and other digital evidence recovered from electronic devices.

Sources indicate that officials are attempting to establish a chronological sequence of communications in order to determine whether the religious content was shared systematically and whether multiple accused were involved in the process.

The digital trail is expected to play a crucial role in determining the extent of coordination, if any, among the accused.

Earlier Allegations of Religious Restrictions

The latest revelations come amid earlier allegations that the victim was discouraged from participating in Hindu religious practices.

As previously reported, investigators were examining claims that the woman was allegedly told not to visit temples, avoid listening to devotional songs dedicated to Hindu deities and instead consume Islamic religious content, including sermons by foreign Islamic preachers.

Police are investigating whether these allegations form part of a larger pattern of religious influence and mental harassment.

Authorities are examining whether the victim was subjected to repeated efforts aimed at distancing her from her original faith while simultaneously encouraging adherence to Islamic practices.

Investigation Continues

The Nashik TCS conversion case has generated significant public attention due to allegations involving coercion, workplace influence, religious pressure and mental harassment.

Investigators are currently reviewing witness statements, digital evidence, interrogation records and forensic data to determine the precise role played by each accused individual.

Officials have not yet disclosed whether additional charges will be invoked as the investigation progresses. However, police sources indicate that several aspects of the case remain under active examination.

With admissions regarding religious instruction, allegations of pressure to observe Ramzan fasts, claims of religious gatherings at the victim’s residence and the recovery of hundreds of religious links, investigators are now piecing together what they believe may reveal the full extent of the alleged conversion effort.
