LUCKNOW: To prepare students for competitive and professional entrance examinations, the Uttar Pradesh government is set to launch a fresh round of free coaching classes under the Chief Minister Abhyudaya Scheme from next month. Under this initiative, good quality guidance and academic support will be provided to aspirants who are preparing for examinations such as UPSC, UPPSC, PCS-J, JEE, and NEET, particularly those from economically weaker backgrounds. District Social Welfare Officer Satish Kumar said the scheme has been designed to ensure that talented students do not miss opportunities due to financial constraints. The UP government is providing access to expert faculty, study material, and structured classroom coaching free of cost.
Under the programme, coaching for UPSC, JEE, and NEET aspirants will be conducted at Mihir Bhoj Boys’ Inter College in Dadri. Separate coaching facilities for UPSC and UPPSC candidates will be available at Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Library in Sector 37, Noida. Authorities have also proposed NEET and JEE coaching at Panchsheel Boys’ Inter College in Sector 93, while coaching for PCS-J aspirants is planned at Gautam Buddha University in Greater Noida.
Along with student registrations, the district administration has also invited applications from guest lecturers and subject experts to strengthen the coaching programme. Faculty members will be selected for a wide range of subjects, including polity, economy, geography, ethics, current affairs, physics, chemistry, mathematics, botany, and zoology.
Officials said preference will be given to university professors, government college teachers, and candidates who have successfully cleared advanced stages of civil services examinations. Selected experts will receive an honorarium of Rs 2,000 for each 90-minute lecture. Applications for empanelment of faculty members can be submitted until June 15.
Meanwhile, in Ghaziabad, applications for free IAS and PCS coaching under the scheme are being accepted until June 15. Coaching classes in the district are scheduled to begin on July 1. Interested candidates can obtain application forms from the District Social Welfare Office located at Vikas Bhawan. The selection process in Ghaziabad will be conducted through an entrance examination or interview to identify the deserving candidates.
Launched by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the CM Abhyudaya Scheme has emerged as one of Uttar Pradesh’s flagship educational initiatives. The scheme seeks to bridge the gap between expensive private coaching institutes and deserving students who aspire to secure admission in prestigious educational institutions or succeed in highly competitive government examinations. Over the years, the programme has benefited thousands of aspirants across Uttar Pradesh by providing free coaching, mentorship, career guidance, and access to digital learning resources. With the new academic session set to begin in July, officials expect a large number of students to apply, particularly for engineering, medical, and civil services coaching.
