The procession witnessed the participation of sevikas, trainees, office-bearers and organisers of the Rashtra Sevika Samiti. Several senior functionaries of the organisation were present during the programme, including Akhil Bharatiya Sah-Sampark Pramukh Neeta Devi, Kshetra Pracharika for Odisha, Andaman, Sikkim and West Bengal Latika Padhi, Odisha Prant Karyavahika Arati Vaishakh, and Sah-Karyavahika Vaijayanti Rana.

The route march was organised as part of the “Pravesh and Prabodh Vishesh Varg-2026,” a special residential training camp being conducted by the Odisha Prant unit of Rashtra Sevika Samiti at the MITS campus in Rayagada district. The 15-day training programme began on May 16 and will conclude on the morning of June 1. More than 100 trainees from different districts of Odisha are participating in the camp.

During the training session, participants are being imparted lessons in self-defence, physical exercise, ghosh music, and traditional martial skills including danda, jashti and combat techniques. Organisers stated that the objective of the camp is to strengthen self-confidence, discipline, leadership qualities and the spirit of national service among women.

The camp also aims to empower women workers of the organisation ideologically, socially and organisationally so that they can contribute effectively as leaders in their respective regions. Swatamsevaks of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Rayagada district unit, actively assisted in ensuring the smooth and successful conduct of the programme.
