A 23-year-old Hindu woman from the Valmiki (Scheduled Caste) community has accused a jailed gangster and illegal arms trader from Meerut of trapping her through Instagram by posing as a Hindu man named “Sahil”, before subjecting her to repeated sexual assault, forced religious conversion, confinement and prostitution over nearly three years.
The allegations are part of a detailed FIR registered at Delhi’s Jamia Nagar Police Station on May 14 against six members of the accused’s family.
The prime accused in the case is Mohammed Fahim alias Fahim Langda, a notorious illegal arms trader from Meerut who is currently lodged in jail in another criminal case.
According to the woman’s statement, Fahim created a fake Hindu identity on Instagram and introduced himself as “Sahil” to gain her trust.

The woman, whose identity has been concealed and who will be referred to here as Megha in the report, said she first came in contact with Fahim in 2021. He told her that he was disabled in one leg and emotionally manipulated her by claiming he found it difficult to make friends.
His social media profile contained photographs of him wearing a rudraksh mala and kalawa, making him appear Hindu.

Over time, the conversations became regular. Nearly a year later, in March 2022, Megha travelled from Faridabad to Delhi’s Batla House area to meet him for the first time.
According to her complaint, she was shocked to find several men present at the house instead of just “Sahil.” She alleged that after being given juice, she began feeling dizzy and was gangraped by Fahim and others present there.
The woman stated that after the incident, Fahim began blackmailing her using photographs and videos. Fearful and traumatised, she continued to remain in contact with him. She alleged that Fahim alternated between threats and emotional manipulation, trapping her further into the relationship.
In May 2022, Fahim called her again to Delhi before taking her by bus to his family home in Sathla village of Meerut district. It was there, she said, that she discovered “Sahil” was actually Mohammed Fahim and that she had been brought into a Muslim household.
According to the FIR, shortly after arriving at the house, she was served food, after which she again lost consciousness. The woman alleged that when she regained consciousness, Fahim’s father, Khurshid, had sexually assaulted her. She further claimed that the family threatened to kill her if she attempted to escape.
The FIR also states that the family was involved in illegal arms trading. Megha claimed that customers frequently visited the house to purchase weapons and that Fahim often threatened her using those firearms.
One of the most serious allegations in the complaint concerns forced religious conversion.
On May 27, 2022, Fahim allegedly took Megha to a madrassa in Agwanpur village run by his maternal uncle, Hafiz Manzoor. There, she alleged, she was forced to recite the Kalma and was renamed “Aisha.”
The woman alleged that when she resisted, she was beaten and told that converting a “kaafir” woman to Islam would help Muslims attain “Jannat.” She also alleged that Fahim repeatedly told her that his uncle had instructed him to trap a Hindu woman because, due to his criminal record, he could not go for Haj himself.
According to her statement, Fahim allegedly told her: “Since I cannot go for Haj due to my criminal record, getting a Hindu woman converted through a love trap would earn me Jannat.”
After the conversion, Megha alleged that she was forced to wear a burqa, offer namaz and eat meat against her wishes. She claimed the women in the family assaulted her whenever she resisted religious practices imposed on her.
The woman further alleged that after she became pregnant in July 2022, Fahim refused to allow an abortion, claiming that children were “Allah’s gift.” She later gave birth to a daughter.
According to the complaint, even after childbirth, the abuse continued. She alleged that Fahim’s brother Azeem once threatened to throw the infant off the roof unless she submitted to his sexual demands.
Traumatised by the alleged abuse, Megha attempted suicide by consuming pesticide, but survived after treatment. She later alleged that the family began forcing her into prostitution, sending men visiting the house into her room.
When she resisted, a Maulvi identified as Nafees was allegedly called, who justified the arrangement and claimed the visitors were his “clients.”
As police scrutiny over Fahim’s alleged illegal arms network increased in Meerut, the family shifted to Batla House in Delhi in November 2024. In January 2025, Fahim was arrested by Delhi Police’s Mehrauli Special Staff and was later re-arrested by Gurugram Police in another case. During the second arrest, his mobile phone was seized.
The woman stated that this became her opportunity to escape. She left the house and returned to her parents. However, according to the FIR, Fahim allegedly continued threatening her through calls from jail, with the latest threat allegedly made on May 12, 2025.
Following this, she approached a lawyer who connected her with Save India Foundation and Sewa Nyaya Utthan Foundation. With their support, she filed the FIR in Delhi.

Six accused have been named in the FIR – Fahim, Khurshid, Zaid, Azeem, Taslim and Nafis – they all have been booked under 366 (kidnapping, abducting or inducing a woman to compel her marriage, illicit intercourse, or forced sexual exploitation), 376 (rape), 506 (criminal intimidation), 342 (wrongful confinement), 120B (criminal conspiracy) and BNS Section 351 (criminal intimidation under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita).
On May 15, the woman recorded her statement before a magistrate.
