Tamil Nadu BJP, part of AIADMK led alliance, has come out with attractive poll promises developing through the “Makkalukkaga Makkalidamirundhu” (For the people, from the people) outreach. The party has promised to implement major infrastructure upgrades and regional centric initiatives besides focusing on welfare, cultural pride, and development, featuring ₹2,000 monthly aid for women heads of households and three free LPG cylinders annually.
In Tamil Nadun BJP is contesting 27 seats as part of AIADMK led NDA combine. BJP’s manifesto is in line with the ally AIADMK’s poll promises, which assured Rs 2000 monthly to female heads of households.

Welfare Schemes
The BJP Tamil Nadu Assembly election’s 108 pages manifesto, titled “Lotus Promise 2026”, assures a monthly assistance of Rs 2,000 to all women heads of households and a one-time sum of Rs 10,000 to every household. The party also promised three LPG cylinders free of cost, each on the occasions of Pongal, Tamil Puthandu and Deepavali festivals.
Union Minister JP Nadda told the media after releasing poll manifesto “BJP has made a good decision by planning to announce its poll manifesto on the occasion of Tamil New Year saying “When I talk about Tamil Nadu, I always say that it is the cradle of one of the world’s oldest civilisations. Every Indian is very proud of it…Today this cultural capital has been converted into a crime capital. It is the DMK that made Tamil Nadu fail on all fronts’’.

Coming down heavily on the dynastic rule of the DMK, former BJP national chief said “It’s a family party where Stalin is at the top, Udhayanidhi is the heir, Kanimozi is the partner, and Sabareesan is the manager. This is how this party is working. DMK according to me is a dynasty centric and kickback party. Stalin is not only corrupt but he is the protector of corrupt people. The party believes in 3 Cs–corruption, collection and commission”.
Cultural
The BJP has promised that it will declare Thaipoosam as the state festival to honour Bhagwan Murugan; It will ensure that the tradition of lighting the Karthigai Deepam at the Thiruparankundram Hilltop is resumed and protected through the years.
Infrastructure
BJP has promised to overhaul Tamil Nadu’s rail network by making land acquisition at fair prices and expanding connectivity via projects like High Speed Rail Corridors (Chennai-Bengaluru, Chennai-Hyderabad), Coimbatore-Tiruppur Salem RRTS, Villupuram-Chennai Semi-Urban Rail, Hydro Power Train project and new Sleeper Vande Bharat trains linking Chennai with Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata.

Women centric promises
The BJP has women centric promises that included tackling crimes against women through streamlined zero-FIR reporting, victim-witness protection, Special Fast-Track Courts for heinous cases including sexual offences, 100 per cent blind-spot-free CCTV in buses, schools and universities, and optimised Nirbhaya Fund utilisation. It promises to give priority procurement from women-led self-help groups, along with measures to expand credit access and reduce stamp duty in select cases.
The BJP said it will empower women-led cooperatives, SHGs, and MSMEs with interest-free loans up to Rs 50 lakh for manufacturing units and a mandated 20 per cent government procurement quota.
Agriculture
For farmers, BJP promises a Rs 3,000 top-up to the PM-Kisan scheme, raising total annual support to Rs 9,000. It also proposed agriculture machinery banks to provide tractors and farm equipment at subsidised rates, along with expanded cold storage and supply chain infrastructure to reduce post-harvest losses.
Nadda said the BJP will give a one-time grant of Rs 50,000 for small and marginal farmers for setting up of animal husbandry, cattle rearing, shrimp farming, bee keeping,
Nadda said for fishermen, the grant will be increased from Rs 8,000 to 12,000 per year, loan period allowance will be increased from Rs 6,000 to Rs 8,000 and Rs 2,000 pension for every fisherman above the age of 80.
BJP promised stronger anti-drug enforcement, including the creation of a dedicated anti-narcotics wing and stricter law-and-order measures.
TN BJP President Nainar Nagendran said, “In Tamil Nadu, a fascist, anti-people, and family rule is going on. With various strategies to defeat the DMK in the upcoming elections, the mega alliance led by the NDA will form the government after the elections. The DMK has not properly fulfilled even a single promise. The deteriorating law and order situation and the increasing crimes against women are examples of their rule. The AIADMK has already released its manifesto, and now we have released ours. The NDA will definitely form the government.”
BJP set up a 13-member Election Manifesto Committee led by Former Telangana Governor and senior BJP leader Tamilisai Soundararajan with Union minister L Murugan among others its members. It had invited suggestions from public, their demands to be included in the party manifesto.
