JP Nadda targets LDF-UDF, flags corruption in high-voltage Kerala campaign in Tiruvananthapuram

In his election address, the BJP leader and Union Minister J.P. Nadda stated that the people of Kerala are fed up with the misrule and massive corruption of the LDF and UDF governments, alleging that they have not only looted devotees’ donations but have also stolen Bhagwan Ayyappa’s gold. He asserted that God’s Own Country has decided to punish them for their deeds in these elections, setting the tone for an aggressive BJP campaign in the state.

He said this while speaking during his election campaign in Tiruvananthapuram on April 3, where Jagat Prakash Nadda, Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare and Chemicals & Fertilisers, launched an intensive outreach in the capital city.

I express my gratitude to the people of Neyyattinkara for their enthusiastic participation in our roadshow today.

He began his visit with prayers at the revered Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple, offering rituals and seeking blessings for the welfare, development, and prosperity of Keralam, while reiterating the NDA’s commitment to public welfare and inclusive growth.

It is shameful to say that in the gold smuggling case, the heat has reached the Chief Minister’s office, which is involved.

Following the temple visit, J.P. Nadda led a grand and colourful roadshow from Vattiyoorkkavu Junction to Maruthukuzhi. Thousands of people lined both sides of the roads, greeting him with enthusiasm and signalling growing public engagement with the BJP’s campaign.

R. Sreelekha IPS (Retd.), NDA/BJP candidate from Vattiyoorkkavu constituency, accompanied him during the roadshow. Both leaders waved to the crowds, as Nadda’s presence generated visible momentum and strong public response along the entire stretch.

Nadda’s visit marks the beginning of a multi-day campaign across Kerala and Puducherry, where he is scheduled to participate in outreach programmes, meetings, and public interactions aimed at communicating the policies and achievements of the BJP and the Union Government, while connecting with a wider voter base.

He also led another roadshow on April 4 in Neyyattinkara, joined by candidate Chenkal Rajasekharan, further intensifying the party’s grassroots outreach.

Referring to the gold smuggling controversy and alleged involvement of ruling CPM leaders, Nadda criticised both the LDF and UDF, stating that the scandal has reached the Chief Minister’s office. He described it as shameful and reiterated that even Bhagwan Ayyappa’s gold was not spared, accusing both fronts of jointly looting devotees’ wealth over the past 15 years.

Highlighting the NDA government’s welfare initiatives, he pointed to schemes such as Awas Yojana, PM Kisan, Ujjwala Yojana, and Jal Jeevan Mission, stating that these programmes have improved daily life, ensured dignity, and delivered basic amenities to millions across the country.

Under the leadership of Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi ji, the last 11 years have been dedicated to empowering people.

J.P. Nadda’s high-energy campaign in Tiruvananthapuram is being seen as a curtain-raiser to Prime Minister Narendra Modiji’s major programme scheduled for April 4, 2026, signalling an intensified electoral push by the BJP in Kerala.
