Assam Assembly Elections 2026 | ‘Mera Booth, Sabse Mazboot’: PM Modi connects with 5 lakh karyakartas in the state

In a major show of organisational strength ahead of the assembly elections in Assam, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually addressed over five lakh grassroots workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party under the programme “Mera Booth, Sabse Mazboot Samvad.” The large-scale outreach spanned thousands of Shakti Kendras across the state, underscoring the party’s focus on booth-level mobilisation as the cornerstone of its electoral strategy

Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 30 addressed 5 lakh booth karyakartas of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of poll-bound Assam. PM Modi interacted with Karyakarta holding responsibilities at booth and Shakti Kendra levels across Assam and also engaged in an interactive dialogue with five selected karyakartas representing different regions of the state.

Chief Minister  Himanta Biswa Sarma has described today’s address by  Prime Minister Modi as a moment of great inspiration and a blessing for all. The programme, aimed at accelerating the developmental journey of a future-ready Assam with renewed vigour, witnessed enthusiastic participation from lakhs of dedicated karyakartas across the state.

PM addressed BJP workers through the virtual programme “Mera Booth, Sabse Mazboot Samvad, Assam,” Highlighting the significance of the programme, State BJP President and Member of Parliament from Darrang–Udalguri,  Dilip Saikia, stated that such an initiative would undoubtedly energise and galvanise the party cadre further. He emphasised that BJP karyakartas are not merely committed to electoral victories, but are deeply devoted to winning the hearts and trust of the people through sincerity, dedication, and a spirit of selfless service.

Out of 6,348 Shakti Kendras of BJP in the state, more than 4,500 witnessed active participation, with an aggregate attendance exceeding 5 lakh karyakartas who collectively listened to the Prime Minister’s address. He further informed that during the programme,  Prime Minister  Narendra Modi interacted with five distinguished karyakartas from various constituencies,  Pankaj Hazarika (Naduar, Sonitpur),  Dhaneswar Basumatary (Tamulpur), Dimpy Das (Raha, Nagaon), Deoraj Cignar (Bokajan, Karbi Anglong), and Arjun Gowala (Makum, Tinsukia), discussing a range of pertinent issues concerning the state. It is also noteworthy that at the party’s state headquarters, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan, Union Minister  Pabitra Margherita joined over a hundred karyakartas in collectively listening to the Prime Minister’s address.

Nitin Nabin’s Vijay Sankalp Yatra at Jagiroad

National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party,  Nitin Nabin, has concluded his two-day visit to Assam and departed for New Delhi today. During the day, he participated in a massive election rally titled “Vijay Sankalp Yatra” held at Deosal Playground in Morigaon district. The rally was organised as part of the election campaign for the party’s candidate and Cabinet Minister  Pijush Hazarika. State BJP President Dilip Saikia was also present on the occasion. It is worth mentioning that due to inclement weather conditions, the National President could not attend the scheduled election rally at Bokakhat in Golaghat district.
