Kangra: “RSS has completed 100 years of its journey, marked by service and dedication towards nation-building. Founded by freedom fighter Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar on Vijayadashami in 1925, the organisation has been working to build a strong and self-reliant Bharat”, said Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale at a Pramukh Jan Gosthi at the auditorium of Hotel D Polo, Himachal Pradesh.

He emphasised that individuals imbued with patriotism and a spirit of service are nurtured through the daily shakhas, and the Sangh continues to work towards organising, strengthening, and empowering Hindu society.

He further noted that the RSS focuses on both individual character-building and the development of national character to ensure societal progress. Collective efforts, social unity, and inclusive participation are essential for national development. He reiterated that the Sangh works to eliminate all forms of discrimination and is not merely an organisation but a national movement and a way of life for its swayamsevaks.

Highlighting Bharat’s growing global stature, he said that the nation is emerging as a leading force, guiding the world in ways of life, with other countries increasingly looking towards India.

He informed that over one lakh service activities are currently being carried out across the country, with daily shakhas and meetings held at more than one lakh locations. RSS volunteers are actively contributing across various sectors of society.

The seminar was attended by retired army officers, administrative officials, academicians, business representatives, artists, sportspersons, media editors, public representatives, saints, and members of various organisations from across Kangra district.

Among those present were Prant Sanghchalak Dr Veer Singh Rangra, Sah Prant Sanghchalak Ashok Sharma, Vibhag Sanghchalak Bhushan Raina, Zila Sanghchalak Pradeep Kumar, Kshetra Karyawah Roshan Yadav, Dr. Kismat Kumar, Prant Karyawah Dr  Chandra Prakash, and several other distinguished personalities, along with hundreds of eminent citizens and RSS swayamsevaks.
