The event was graced by Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, Pujya Sri Shivaratri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji of Suttur, and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sharanappa Halase at the Karnataka State Open University Auditorium in Mysuru, Karnataka. The Vice President of India, C.P. Radhakrishnan, delivered a talk online.

The conference centres on the philosophy of Ekatma Manava Darshana (Integral Humanism), articulated by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, focusing on the balance between the individual, society, and nature within the framework of Bharatiya thought.

In a clear and categorical direction, the Court ordered the State Government not to interfere with, obstruct, or disturb the smooth conduct of the conference in any manner.

The directive comes amid reports of cancellation of the academic event.

This strong judicial directive reinforces the rule of law and ensures that lawful intellectual and cultural gatherings proceed without undue hindrance.

As per reports, the Ekatma Manava Darshan Conference has recorded a total of 650 registrations, with participation from six states and representation from 30 universities and institutions. A total of 178 research papers have been submitted for presentation at the conference.

The event has brought together Vice-Chancellors, academicians, research scholars, and policy thinkers from across India, engaging in discussions on Indian philosophy, history, and socio-political thought rooted in civilisational ethos.

The Congress government in Karnataka has reportedly served a notice on Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), citing alleged violations of protocol and guidelines.
