Guwahati: RSS Guwahati Mahanagar Sanghchalak Guru Prasad Medhi has filed a formal complaint with the Cyber Cell of the Crime Branch in Pan Bazar, raising alarm over an AI-generated post being circulated in the name of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). On several occasions, the RSS has clarified that the BJP is an independent political organisation that takes its own decisions, and that the RSS has no role in political affairs.

In his complaint dated March 22, Medhi stated that a “fake and misleading post, allegedly generated using Artificial Intelligence,” is being widely circulated, falsely attributed to the RSS.

He described the content as “false, malicious, and intended to mislead the public and tarnish the image of the organisation.”

Seeking urgent intervention, Medhi urged the cyber authorities to investigate the matter, identify the source of the content, and take strict legal action against those responsible for creating and spreading the fabricated material.

He further warned that such “unscrupulous activities carried out with malicious intent” could disturb public harmony and must be dealt with immediately in the larger national interest.

Meanwhile, in New Delhi, another complaint has been filed by Akshay Kumar Agrawal at the Cyber Cell Police Station, on March 21, 2026, over the circulation of a fake and misleading letter in the name of the RSS.

In his complaint, Agrawal stated that a fabricated letter is being widely circulated on social media, falsely projected as having been issued by the RSS. The letter is addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and refers to internal matters related to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Assam.

He asserted that the letter is “completely fake, untrue, and fabricated” and clarified that the RSS, being a non-political organisation, does not interfere in the internal affairs of any political party.

He warned that the contents of the fake letter are not only misleading but also deliberately attempt to create a false impression that the RSS is intervening in political matters, thereby damaging the organisation’s reputation.

Agrawal further pointed out that the fake document also misuses the address of the RSS office in New Delhi to falsely present it as authentic, calling it a “completely false and misleading” attempt to deceive the public.

He also has urged the authorities to take immediate action and investigate the origin and circulation of the fabricated content.
