Chengal S. Rajasekharan Nair is a prominent hotelier and social worker. He is the MD of the Janam TV. He is always at the forefront of all Hindu social activities in Thiruvananthapuram. He started his initial social activity as a RSS swayamsevak.
Karamana Jayan is the city district president of the BJP. He is one of the most senior party workers in the district. He started his social activities as a Sangh swayamsevak.
All other candidates are very familiar in their places, thanks to their long innings of political and social activities in their respective areas.
Since all other constituents of the NDA have already released their candidate lists, the NDA’s list for all 140 seats is now complete. NDA seat-sharing has been smooth compared to the serious disputes prevailing in the seat-sharing of both the CPM-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF). Both fronts still struggle to put their divided houses in order.
Meanwhile, BJP Keralam President Rajeev Chandrasekhar, the NDA candidate for the Nemom constituency submitted his nomination paper for the Assembly elections today. The procession, which began as a massive demonstration from the vicinity of the Corporation Office, was joined by Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma.
Thiruvananthapuram Mayor Adv V V Rajesh, Deputy Mayor G S Ashanath, BJP State General Secretary Adv S Suresh, Regional General Secretaries Karamana Ajith, M R Gopan, City District President Karamana Jayan, Shiv Sena State President Perurkada Harikumar, and other prominent NDA leaders joined the procession.
