BJP releases second list of candidates for Kerala Assembly elections 2026

The BJP has released its second list of candidates for the upcoming Assembly elections, featuring experienced leaders, former office-bearers, and grassroots workers aligned with the Sangh ideological framework.

BJP Central Office, Delhi, has released, on March 19, the 2nd list of the candidates for the Kerala Assembly elections, which are hardly two weeks away. The candidates in the list are known for hardworking, loyal to the party and committed to the cultural nationalist movement.

Kummanam Rajasekharan, former Mizoram Governor, former VHP State Organising Secretary and former State BJP President, is a personality par excellence who does not need any introduction before the voters. He is the most famous public Hindu leader in the state.

V. Unnikrishnan Master is a dynamic state leader of BJP. A retired schoolmaster, he has served as the State ABVP President in the 1990s.

O. Nidhish is a former State Organising Secretary of ABVP in Kerala and Madhya Pradesh.

Dr. Renu Suresh is an intellectual leader of BJP who came up from the SC community. She is a PhD holder and author of several books.

Adv. T.S. Ullasbabu is an active leader and spokesman of BJP. He is familiar among Malayalis as a decent and dynamic TV debater.

N. Nagesh is an experienced leader in electoral politics. He was BJP Thrissur District President and Zonal President. Now, he is a well-known state leader.

Smt. Valsala Prasannakumar was a senior Congress leader until recently. She was the Chairperson of North Parur Municipality and former General Secretary of the Pradesh Congress Committee. Even though she was a strong supporter of V.D. Satheesan, Leader of the Opposition and MLA of Parur constituency, she left the party, thanks to her serious differences of opinion with him.

P.R. Sivasnakar is a prominent party spokesman and an excellent TV debater. He started the organisational work as a Sangh Swayamsevak and then ABVP leader. He is an orator and author of several books.

M.A. Brahmaraj is BJP Ernakulam Rural District President. He is a senior worker and started nationalist activities as a Sangh worker.

Smt. Aswini is a prominent BJP worker from Kasargod district. She has fought elections to the Lok Sabha and the Assembly in the past. She is now a Block Panchayat member.

M.J. Job, a senior Congress leader and Pradesh Congress General Secretary, left the party recently to join BJP due to serious differences of opinion with his leaders.

  11. Manjeri: Smt. Padmashree M.
  12. Perinthalmanna: Adv. K.P. Baburaj
  13. Mankada: Sri. Lijo Paul
  14. Malappuram: Smt. Aswati Gupthakumar
  15. Vengara: Sri. Jayakrishnan V.N.
  16. Vallikkunnu: Sri. M. Preman Master
  17. Tirurangadi: Sri. Raju C. Raghav
  18. Tanur: Smt. Deepa Puzhakkal
  19. Tirur: Sri. K. Narayanan Master
  20. Tavanur: Sri. Ravi Meloth
  21. Thrithala: Sri. V. Unnikrishnan Master
