Seva Bharati, Madras Regiment launch free dialysis centre at Pazhavangadi Ganapathi Temple in Thiruvananthapuram

Thiruvananthapuram: A free dialysis facility jointly established by Seva Bharati and the Pazhavangadi Sree Mahaganapati Temple Trust, under the administration of the Madras Regiment, was inaugurated in Thiruvananthapuram with the aim of providing life-saving treatment to economically disadvantaged kidney patients.

The “Pazhavangadi Sree Mahaganapati Dialysis Centre”, located at the Pranavam Building in Fort, was inaugurated on the morning of March 13, 2026, by Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh. Thiruvananthapuram Corporation Mayor Adv. V. V. Rajesh attended the event as the chief guest.

The dialysis centre has been established to offer free dialysis treatment to financially weaker kidney patients, addressing the growing burden of kidney-related ailments in Kerala where treatment costs are often beyond the reach of middle-class and poor families.

The inauguration also coincided with World Kidney Day, underscoring the importance of accessible treatment for chronic kidney disease patients.

The project has been launched with the active involvement of Seva Bharati, an RSS-inspired service organisation, in association with the Pazhavangadi Ganapathi Temple, which is administered by the Madras Regiment. The facility operates from a building owned by the temple.

Office bearers of Seva Bharati, members of the Pazhavangadi Ganapathi Temple Trust, ex-servicemen, and a large number of members of the public attended the inaugural function.

Organisers stated that the initiative marks the second dialysis centre established in Kerala under the leadership of Seva Bharati, reflecting the organisation’s growing service activities in the healthcare sector.

The Kerala chapter of Seva Bharati will manage and run the dialysis facility.
