Assam: PM Modi’s sharp attack on Congress; It is a shop of false promises which jeopardized safety of roti, beti & mati

The Congress party has always extended a helping hand to infiltrators—a stance it maintains to this very day. For decades, the Congress denied the indigenous inhabitants of this region even the basic legal documents pertaining to their land. Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a sharp attack on the Congress party in Assam for their compromising ideology on the security of the people of the land. “There is another reality regarding the Congress: it is a shop of false promises. And along with every false promise, it offers four “super-lies” as a bonus gift. This is because the Congress has absolutely no intention of ever fulfilling those promises”, said PM Modi.

Stating the true commitments of his government PM Modi said, the BJP-NDA model stands before you and our “double-engine” government has made an honest effort to translate everything we promised into reality. And this is not a recent phenomenon; back in 2003—when the NDA government was in power in Delhi under the leadership of Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji—we spared no effort in working with truthfulness and integrity.

Under that initiative, the BTC was constituted under the Sixth Schedule, which gave a significant impetus to the development of Bodoland. Bodoland University was established here, as were the Central Institute of Technology and an engineering college; indeed, numerous such projects were brought to this region, he said. He further said that the Congress party has committed yet another grave sin—one that has emerged as a monumental threat to the security of both the nation and Assam. It has jeopardized the safety of all three vital elements: ‘Roti’ (livelihood), ‘Beti’ (daughters), and ‘Mati’ (land).

The Congress party has always extended a helping hand to infiltrators—a stance it maintains to this very day. For decades, the Congress denied the indigenous inhabitants of this region even the basic legal documents pertaining to their land. The Congress handed over vast tracts of tribal land to infiltrators, PM Modi stated. Mentioning a few districts of Assam where indigenous people have become minority, PM Modi said, “The situation was particularly dire in districts such as Dhubri and Goalpara. Consequently, the demographic balance in Bodoland was being disrupted and a crisis began to engulf society”.

“I take great satisfaction in noting that, under the leadership of Hemanta ji, a massive campaign is currently underway in Assam to reclaim land from the clutches of infiltrators. Furthermore, the BJP-NDA government here has successfully provided legal land documents to the indigenous people of Assam. I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude to the tribal community for their enthusiastic and wholehearted support in this endeavor” PM Modi further added.

The PM further urged people of Assam to punish the Congress party for their unforgivable sins committed during their regime in Assam and across India in the upcoming assembly election. “Today, I have come to urge you to inflict the severest possible punishment upon the Congress party in the upcoming elections, and to send an unequivocal message that there is no longer any place for infiltrators within this country. The message that emanates from Assam will resonate and become the voice of the entire nation”, PM Modi added.
