Kozhikode, 10 February:  Highlighting the visionary path of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on centenary event, Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale Ji stated that the core essence of Sangh Karya is the creation of Human Social Capital – individuals rooted in values dedicated to social transformation.

He was interacting with the invited youth of Uttara Kerala region at the ‘Prerana’ program held as part of the RSS centenary celebrations in Kozhikode. Addressing a gathering of over 700 registered youths, he emphasized that while the land is diverse, the fundamental thought of the Sangh is that we are one indivisible nation.

Sarkaryavah reminded the audience of Maharishi Aurobindo’s prophecy: Bharat awakens not just for itself, but to serve as a lighthouse for the world.

While answering the questions of youth that participated in the program, Dattatreya ji said, we cannot look to other nations to solve our internal challenges; we must empower the Samaj (society) to find its own indigenous solutions. The bedrock of all activities is the “Nation First” philosophy. The nation is not merely defined by political leaders or prominent figures, but by every ordinary citizen, its long history, traditions, and every inch of its geography.

He explained that the various affiliated organizations started by Swayamsevaks are “applied areas” of Sangh work. These platforms allow individuals from all walks of life to contribute to nation-building based on their aptitude and time. He further noted that the Sangh’s decision-making process is rooted in collective consensus, ensuring significant participation of women in all spheres of activity.

He said, we must reclaim Bharat’s intellectual tradition. Our intellectual tradition was being pushed into oblivion by the intrusion of foreign ideas. He also said that special chairs emphasizing Indian knowledge should be started in all universities.

The nation is the first priority of the Sangh. In addition to the five debts to the sages, gods, ancestors, living beings and humans, there is also a social debt in Bharatiya culture. It is an obligation to the society. That is what the RSS gives importance to. To fulfill the social debt, the Sangh creates Swayamsevaks. Swayamsevaks work in all walks of society. The areas of activity are different, but the basic idea of Swayamsevaks does not change. Today, Bharat is rushing towards progress. A progressive society will have to face many challenges. The RSS is providing vitamins for the body of the nation, the Sarkaryavah said.

Uttara Kerala Pranta Sanghchalak Adv. K.K. Balaram, Kozhikode Vibhag Sanghchalak U. Gopal Mallar and Adv. Jayaprakash were also present.
