The Red Fort Blast shook the national capital of New Delhi and the consciousness of the entire country on November 10, 2025. The preliminary investigations and reports suggested that there is a clear terror conspiracy behind the blast, which was indeed a national security concern. In the latest testament to the fact that the Delhi blast was a planned terror attack, the United Nations Security Council Sanctions Monitoring Committee has flagged the role of Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad in the Red Fort blast.
This assertion by the UNSC renders further strength to the investigations of India and in its fight against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. In a biannual report published by the UN Security Council monitoring team for Al-Qaeda and Islamic State(IS), it was reiterated that the car bombing near the Red Fort in New Delhi on November 10, has been carried out by the Jaish-e-Mohammad(JeM) terror organisation, who apparently has strong roots in Pakistan. The Red Fort blast led to the death of 15 innocent civilians and more than 30 people were injured.

The Red Fort blast, UNSC report and the Pakistan link
As per the UNSC report, a member of the UN Sanctions Committee exclaimed that “Jaish-ee-Mohammad had claimed responsibility for a series of attacks. It was also reported to be linked to an attack on the Red Fort in New Delhi on November 10 that killed 15 people”. This strong imperative by the United Nations Security Council consolidates the commitment of India to fight against terrorism and the report also acts as an evidence to the fact that Pakistan-based terror groups are a continuous threat to the security and territorial integrity of India.
The Red Fort blast took place on November 10 around 6.55PM near Gate 1 of the Red Fort metro station in Subhash Marg. A high-intensity and loud explosion was heard as the Hyundai i20 car exploded and caught intense fire. The flames spread rapidly and the vehicles parked in the vicinity also caught fire, killing 15 people and injuring more than 30 civilians. The National Investigation Agency(NIA), NSG and other forensic teams are investigating the crime and are aiming to debunk the terror network. The UNSC report, thus reiterates the role of JeM terrorists in the tragedy and configures India’s global position with respect to eradicating terrorism.
UNSC warns about women wing of JeM
The UNSC Sanctions Team, further warned about the notorious character of the women-only wing of Jaish-e-Mohammad(JeM) terror outfit which has been curated by the leader of JeM Masood Azhar Alvi. On October 8, Jaish-e-Mohammad leader Masood Azhar Alvi formally announced the establishment of a women-only wing Jamaat-ul-Muminat which was aimed at supporting the terrorist attacks”, the UNSC report ascertained, thus raising concerns about their terror atrocities.
The 1267 Sanctions Committee of the United Nations Security Council(UNSC) monitors the sanctions imposed on Al-Qaeda and the Islamic State(IS). The sanctions committee also monitors the other terror outfits associated with these terror networks. Jaish-e-Mohammad(JeM) and Lashkar-ee-Taiba(LeT) are listed under the vigilance of the sanctions committee as they are indirectly associated with Al-Qaeda.
