West Bengal: A grand Kalash Shobha Yatra was organised in Phulwariya village of Beldaur block to mark the commencement of the Sanatan Hindu Sammelan. The ceremonial procession aimed to create awareness among villagers and generate collective participation ahead of the Sammelan.

A group of 151 unmarried young girls participated in the Kalash Shobha Yatra on Sunday. The procession began from the village Shiva Mandir and passed through various lanes and neighbourhoods of the village before concluding at the Shri Krishna Mela ground. Following the completion of the procession, a Bhandara (community meal) was organised, during which prasad was served to the participating girls.

Organising Committee President Subodh Kumar stated that the Kalash Shobha Yatra was conducted at 11 am as part of the formal inauguration of the Sanatan Hindu Sammelan. Throughout the procession, chants of “Jai Shri Ram” resonated across the village. He emphasised that unity within Hindu society is essential, as lack of cohesion can lead to various challenges. Special arrangements were made to serve kheer as part of the meal for the unmarried girls.

Several local residents and social workers were present on the occasion, including Rishabh Kumar, Treasurer Pawan Kumar Hitler, Ajay Kumar Sharma, Ghanshyam Kumar, Ranjeet Kumar, Puran Mandal, Rajesh Kumar, and many other villagers, who actively supported the event.
