Guwahati: Like most of the Congress leaders, Assam MP Gaurav Gogoi too has an unknown hatred towards Bharat, Hindu religion or Sanatan. The Assam police SIT investigation has disclosed how the former Assam CM Tarun Gogoi’s son and now three times Congress MP and deputy LoP has himself changed the religion and nationality of his minor children.

Assam CM made the SIT report public on February 8, Sunday. The SIT investigation revealed that Gaurav Gogoi himself in 2022 surrendered his elder son’s Indian passport and changed his nationality from Indian to British along with his religion. Prior to this, his son’s religion was Hindu. But with a British nationality Gaurav Gogoi’s 9 years old son’s religion was also changed to Christianity. The Congress MP’s 5 years old daughter is a British national and her religion is also Christianity. But the question arises here is why Gaurav Gogoi, a politician and Assam’s CM aspirant changed his children’s nationality and religion so suddenly?

Is there any external pressure on him or is it a sheer hate against Bharat, Hinduism or Sanatan? BJP questions Gogoi’s intention-Your wife Elizabeth is a Christian and holds British citizenship — is it not relevant for the people of Assam to know the religion and nationality of the wife and children of a sitting Member of Parliament from Assam? Why did they change their religion? Is this not relevant when serious national security questions are being raised about her past work in Pakistan and alleged financial links? The MP met the press in Guwahati on February 9, but couldn’t give a justification to this decision of changing his children’s religion and nationality.

Sharp questions by BJP to Gaurav Gogoi

Meanwhile BJP is asking a few vital questions which need to be answered by Gaurav Gogoi. BJP is asking, Why did Gogoi’s wife Elizabeth Colburn Gogoi work in Pakistan from March 18, 2011 to March 17, 2012? Why was your wife’s salary — even after she moved to India — paid or managed by Pakistani national Ali Tauqeer Sheikh? Did you make a visit to Pakistan in December 2013 along with associates? Gaurav Gogoi couldn’t give a clear answer and said the that the Home Ministry is aware of it. But why he visited Islamabad is still a matter of great concern, BJP questions.

Why was Gogoi digitally unreachable during his visit to Pakistan in December 2013? What explains the close ties between you, his wife Elizabeth Gogoi and Pakistani national Ali Tauqeer Sheikh? And why did Ali Tauqeer Sheikh delete all his tweets and even close his Twitter account when the investigation began? Moreover Gogoi’s election affidavit is also in question. BJP questions-Your wife is a British citizen — why have you not clearly disclosed in your election affidavits that your wife and children hold foreign nationality? It is for sure that until and unless MP Gaurav Gogoi answers these questions the tag #PakAgentGaurav will be surfaced across social media.
