A grand Hindu Sammelan was organised by Sakal Hindu Samaj, Chhatarpur at Chhatarpur Enclave in South Delhi, witnessing enthusiastic participation from over a thousand participants. The programme commenced with a havan conducted for national welfare and the well-being of humanity. Several eminent personalities from society were present at the conference. Chhatarpur MLA Kartar Singh and local Councillor Ummed Singh Phogat attended the event, encouraging the organisers and motivating participating children.
The conference was presided over by Bijay Anand, who, in his heartfelt address, emphasised the need to eliminate social and caste-based inequalities within Hindu society and to strengthen mutual harmony and unity. The chief guest, public policy expert and academic Dr Rajveer Sharma shared his views on Hindu social cohesion and collective participation. Prof Ramraj Upadhyay, Head of the Department of Purohit Training at Lal Bahadur Shastri Central Sanskrit University, underlined the importance of reinforcing the core values of Sanatan culture. Saroj ji spoke on civic responsibilities through the framework of the Panch Pran. As part of the conference, a felicitation ceremony was held in which children who excelled in art competitions were awarded prizes.
The cultural segment featured a captivating series of performances. The session began with Saraswati Vandana presented by music teacher Urmila Bhatt and her students. Tanishi and Yeshi performed a dance on Ganesh Stuti. A Kathak performance by six-year-old Aarohi Bhatt, a patriotic song by student Devansh, and a group rendition of Vande Mataram by young children were among the highlights. Chandni, Anushka, and Dimple from Rajendra Farm presented a Krishna dance.
In a special children’s segment, four-year-old Trishi’s performance, Shivanya Rawat’s dance, Anayra Kukreja’s song on Rani Lakshmibai, and performances by junior-category participants captivated the audience. Students from Oxford School and Vrinda School presented yoga-based dance and group dance performances. Kushal Chaudhary recited Sanskrit shlokas, Radharamesh rendered a patriotic song, and Chaitanya sang an inspirational number. A bhajan presentation by Preeti Sharma along with a group of 12 children, and the play “Chhava” performed by the Neb Sarai troupe, emerged as major attractions. An Uttarakhandi folk performance was presented by Smt Vinod Rawat and her team.
The organisers stated that the conference proved to be a meaningful initiative towards uniting Hindu society, instilling cultural values among the younger generation, and strengthening social harmony. Members of the audience appreciated the event and expressed their resolve to organise it annually.
