Recalling a historic moment in India’s political and ideological journey, Vijayawada is set to revisit the legacy of Integral Humanism, first articulated and formally adopted here 65 years ago. The two-day programme, scheduled to be held from January 23 at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium, will mark the re-enactment and remembrance of the 12th National Convention of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh held in 1965. It was at this very venue that the doctrine of Ekatma Manav Darshan (Integral Humanism), propounded by Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, was debated in depth and adopted through a historic resolution.
The programme, being convened by the Andhra Pradesh BJP president PVN Madhav, it aims to revisit the ideological foundations laid six decades ago and examine their contemporary relevance. The deliberations will be held across eight thematic sessions focusing on political, cultural, economic, and developmental perspectives rooted in Integral Humanism.

Ekatma Manav Darshan (Integral Humanism), as an alternative to Western capitalism and communism, this doctrine, born from Indian roots, is today becoming a subject of discussion worldwide. The special feature of this programme is that the historic moment is being revisited on the very same dates (January 23 and 24) on which the convention was held then.
BJP National General Secretary (Organisation) BL Santhosh, Co-General Secretary (Organisation) Shivaprakash, Union Minister of Law Arjun Ram Meghwal, Union Minister Kishan Reddy, senior leaders Ram Madhav, Muralidhar Rao, and others are participating.
The event also recalls the ideological legacy carried forward by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whose governance is being highlighted as an extension of Integral Humanism in practice.
Veteran Jana Sangh and BJP workers who directly witnessed or were associated with the 1965 national convention in Vijayawada are also attending, lending historical depth and continuity to the commemorative event.
As this programme coincides with the day of the coronation of Sri Krishnadevaraya, the organisers have named the stadium premises as ‘Krishnadevaraya Nagar’.
