New Delhi: In line with the circular issued by the Ministry of Education under the Department of School Education & Literacy, several schools across the country conducted Swadeshi Sankalp Daud – Student Run/Walk for Self-Reliance(#SwadeshiPPC) on January 11, Sunday, marking the beginning of the run-up activities for Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) 2026. The nationwide programme is being organised as per official instructions to observe the period from January 12 to January 23, 2026, during which schools are encouraged to hold student-centric activities aimed at reducing examination stress and promoting confidence, positivity and national values among students.

As part of this initiative, Swadeshi Sankalp Daud – Student Run/Walk for Self-Reliance was successfully conducted at PM SHRI School JNV Tuensang, Nagaland. Students participated enthusiastically, highlighting the spirit of Swadeshi, self-reliance, physical fitness and national pride, in keeping with the objectives outlined in the Ministry’s circular.

The Ministry of Education had earlier stated that the run-up activities would commence with Swadeshi Sankalp Daud on January 12, 2026, coinciding with Swami Vivekananda Jayanti(National Youth Day) and would culminate on January 23, 2026, observed as Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Jayanti(Parakram Diwas). Schools have also been encouraged to ensure visibility of these activities through social media and to upload photographs and details on the designated platforms.
