Chhattisgarh tableau showing glimpses of digital museum dedicated to tribal heroes to shine at Republic Day parade 2026

The state's tableau is based on the Government of India's theme Swatantrata Ka Mantra- Vandematram and depicts the unique struggle and sacrifices of the Janjatiya heroes

Chhattisgarh's tableau to be on display during Republic Day parade 2026 at Kartavya Path

New Delhi: The glorious legacy of the Janjatiya (tribal) heroes is all set to shine at the Kartavya Path during the upcoming annual celebration of Republic Day as the expert committee has selected Chhattisgarh’s tableau featuring country’s first digital museum dedicated to the Janjatiya heroes.

“Chhattisgarh’s tableau will be a special attraction at the upcoming Republic Day celebrations at Kartavya Path. This year the state tableau will showcase the glimpses of country’s first digital museum dedicated to tribal heroes. The expert committee of the Ministry of Defence has selected the state’s tableau for the Republic Day ceremony,” informed the state government in a statement issued on Monday, December 29.

“After a detailed selection process lasting for around 4 months, tableaus from 17 states including from Chhattisgarh has been selected for the event,” it added.

According to details, the state’s tableau is based on the Government of India’s theme ‘Vandematram – The Mantra of Freedom’ and depicts the unique struggle and sacrifices made by the tribal heroes during the freedom movement.

Notably, a digital museum highlighting the heroics tales of tribal’s movement and struggle of tribal heroes during the freedom movement was established at Nava Raipur of Chhattisgarh. The digital museum was first of its kind in the country and inaugurated on the occasion of silver jubilee celebration of the state by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Expressing his delight over the selection of state’s tableau, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai in a post on X said “The selection of Chhattisgarh’s tableau in the Republic Day parade is a matter of pride for the entire state. Through this tableau, we have got the opportunity to present on the national stage the immortal tales of tribal heroes, their patriotism, indomitable courage and tradition of sacrifice in the country’s first digital museum.”

“This tableau is not just a display, but a symbol of the nation’s gratitude and respect towards the contribution of the tribal society, which will inspire the new generation,” he added.
