LUCKNOW: Ayodhya is once again preparing to immerse itself in devotion and celebration as the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust unveiled a detailed programme for the Pratishtha Dwadashi celebrations. The event will be the second anniversary of the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla at the grand Ram Temple. The celebrations will begin on December 27, 2025, and continue till January 2, 2026, blending devotion, culture, and tradition in the holy city. The highlight of the celebration will be the main Pratishtha Dwadashi event on December 31, to be led by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

According to the temple trust, the celebrations will include a variety of religious, spiritual, and cultural activities that reflect the deep-rooted devotion of millions of Ram bhakts. Beginning December 27, the city will witness the daily recitation of the Ramcharitmanas, accompanied by religious discourses and cultural programmes every evening until January 2, 2026. The programmes will continue till 9 pm each night, bringing devotees together in an atmosphere of devotion and celebration.

Details of other celebrations from December 29, 2025, to January 2, 2026

The events on December 29 and 30 are designed to deepen devotees’ spiritual experience. On both days, the Ramcharitmanas recitation will take place from 8 am to 2 pm, filling the temple premises with the sacred verses narrating the life and ideals of Bhagwan Ram. From 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm, there will be enlightening discourses by Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Swami Ram Dineshacharya, a respected spiritual leader known for his profound interpretation of Ramcharitmanas and the teachings of Bhagwan Ram. These sessions will offer insights into the timeless values of dharma, truth, and service that lie at the heart of the Ramayana.

Adding a touch of artistic devotion, students of Guru Ghasidas University, Chhattisgarh, will present a Ramlila performance from 5.30 pm to 7 pm. The performance will recreate key episodes from Bhagwan Ram’s life, showcasing the triumph of righteousness over evil through expressive storytelling, music, and dance.

The most anticipated day of the five-day festival will be December 31, 2025. The day will begin with continued recitation of the Ramcharitmanas from 8 am to 12.30 pm, setting a spiritual tone before the main rituals. The main ceremony is scheduled between 1 pm and 3 pm, in the divine presence of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The two leaders will lead the rituals alongside priests and trust members, invoking blessings for peace, harmony, and national prosperity. This moment will not only commemorate the sacred installation of Bhagwan Ram Lalla but also reaffirm Ayodhya’s place as a beacon of India’s spiritual heritage.

After the main event, a religious discourse will follow, giving devotees an opportunity to reflect on the ceremony’s significance and its message of unity and devotion.

The evening of December 31 will continue the celebratory spirit with a Kavi Sammelan (poets’ meet) from 6 pm to 7.30 pm, featuring eminent poets presenting compositions dedicated to Bhagwan Ram, Ayodhya, and Indian culture. Poetry and bhakti have long shared a deep connection in India’s devotional traditions, and this session will celebrate that bond through lyrical devotion.

Following the Kavi Sammelan, there will be a musical performance by Anshika Singh from Varanasi, known for her soulful devotional renditions. Her performance will add a melodious touch to the evening, drawing the curtains on a day filled with faith and festivity.

While the main ceremony concludes on December 31, the celebrations will continue till January 2, with daily recitations, bhajans, and cultural events. Ayodhya, now glowing with festive lights and devotion, will welcome thousands of devotees from across the country to participate in the festivities and offer prayers at the magnificent Ram Temple.

Since the inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the city has transformed into a vibrant centre of spirituality, cultural heritage, and development. The annual Pratishtha Dwadashi celebration has now become a symbol of continuity and devotion, uniting people from diverse regions and backgrounds under the banner of faith.

The temple trust has emphasised that all arrangements are being made to ensure a smooth experience for devotees. The district administration and the temple authorities are coordinating security measures, accommodation, and crowd-management plans.

The celebration also carries a deeper emotional and national significance. The Ram Temple stands not only as a religious structure but as a monument of faith, patience, and unity for millions of Indians who waited decades for this moment.
