RSS@100: Lecture series in Bengaluru, Invited guests hail the role of Sangh in nation-building

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as a part of its centenary celebrations organised a two-day lecture series in Bengaluru on November 8 and 9. The lecture is conducted at four locations across the country in New Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Kolkata under the title, “100 years of Sangh Journey: New Horizons”. The event witnessed more than 1,200 invited guests predominantly. The dignitaries comprised senior officials and experts from diverse sectors such as education, art, literature, culture, journalism, sports, cinema, social service etc. Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat adddressed the gathering spoke at the lecture series  which is the second one, the previous had taken place in August in Delhi.

Speaking to Organiser Weekly, invited guests revisited and hailed the role of Sangh in national building. They also cherished their enduring association with the RSS and spoke on how RSS has played a pivotal role in crafting their personality. The dignitaries also wished for the relentless service of the Sangh in the path of restoring and nurturing a sound society based on the ancient civilizational values in the upcoming centuries.

Jayalakshmi Sampath Kumar, Editor, Sudharma(Sanskrit Daily) spoke to Organiser and said, “Swayamsevakas are rendering selfless service to Maa Bharati. ” She further added, We are all proud about this significant milestone achieved by the RSS. It is one of the very few organisations of the country to achieve the remarkable feat of 100 years of relentless service and nation-building. It is a matter of immense pride and honour to acknowledge the fact that an extremely disciplined organization called as RSS, is prevailing in our country, India. Every Swayamsevak in the organisation is in service of Maa Bharati.

Lauding the path sanchalan, she further said, “The RSS path sanchalan indeed gives goosebumps for every Indian and inspires them to serve the nation.”

Vijay Kiragandur, Film Producer(KGF, Kantara) lauded the session and said,“It was an insightful and enlightening session.” He further said, “It was a great experience to be a part of the centenary celebrations of RSS. The answers given by Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat at Delhi to the questions asked were really enlightening, insightful and informative. RSS is doing a great job towards nation-building and service to the country.”

K.G. Raghavan, Senior Advocate, Chairman, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Bengaluru said,“RSS is the spirit of India.” Hailing the role of Sangh, he said, “RSS is an epitome of discipline. It is the spirit of India. Sangh has embraced people from all walks of life, from all religions and from all regions. Therefore, from the beginning RSS has instilled a sense of patriotism in every countrymen. Through this endeavour of stimulating patriotism in the people, Sangh is playing a key role in the development of the country. RSS has taught us to be proud of our country. It has trained the people to speak in an united voice in the interest of the nation. From Hedgewar to Mohan Bhagwat, millions of Swayamsevakas have rendered irreplaceable service to the nation.”

Sharad Pai, Rotary District Governor, Belagavi described “RSS: An organisation that puts service above self”: Pai appreciated the concept of Swadeshi and further opined, “RSS has embraced the nationalist philosophy and works on the principle of “service above self”. Organisations like RSS and Rotary can play a paramount role in realizing the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi such as Make-in-India, Swadeshi. Sangh and rotary are two big organisations that can prove the world that India is the superpower hub in guiding the world.”

Shobha Malavalli, Editor-in-Chief, Republic Kannada stated that “RSS is a strength that unites the youth.” She added, “It’s an incredible achievement for the organisation to complete 100 years of service. RSS stands at the forefront in matters of protecting and defending the nation. In terms of service to the nation, RSS inspires and unites the youth. Let the spirit and service of the Sangh grow all across the nation in the coming years and decades. Let the strength of RSS spiral in the nation.”

Bhaskar Rao, Former IPS and BJP member and member of the BJP said, “RSS: A key catalyst to realize the goals of world peace and Vasudaiva Kutumbakam.” Recalling his association with the RSS, he added, “As a student in 1984-85, I was a proud member of the Sangh. My father was also a part of the Sangh in 1947-48. Sangh has consolidated Hindutva over decades and we are eagerly waiting to witness the incredible service of the Sangh for the next 100 years in spreading the message of Sanatana Dharma, world peace and the principle of Vasudaiva Kutumbakam in real sense. As a teenager, RSS has ingrained in me the attributes of discipline and love for the country as an impact of which I joined the Indian Army in 1987 and later on in the Indian Police Service (IPS). I owe my allegiance to the early training and grooming I received in my Shakha.
