Ayodhya: Holy city of Ayodhya has once again captured the attention of the world as its grand digital Ram Leela reached unprecedented heights this year. With a record 62 crore global viewers across more than 50 countries, the annual cultural spectacle has become the world’s largest and most magnificent digital Ram Leela. Guided by the vision and support of UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Ayodhya event not only celebrated India’s rich cultural heritage but also highlighted the city’s expanding spiritual presence on the global stage.

What began as a traditional stage performance has now transformed into a global digital celebration of Bhagwan Ram’s life and teachings. The Ayodhya Ram Leela was broadcasted live across continents. The grand digital Ram Leela left its mark in countries like Nepal, Sri Lanka, the UAE, the United States, France, Germany, Canada, and Australia. The telecast reached audiences through multiple platforms, including Aradhana Tata Play, Shemaroo Me, VI App, Airtel, YouTube, and Facebook. On the Shemaroo Bhakti YouTube channel alone, more than 8 crore viewers tuned in to witness the divine epic unfold.

The Uttar Pradesh government, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, played a pivotal role in elevating the Ayodhya Ram Leela to a global stage. Their joint efforts ensured that the event was accessible to millions of devotees across continents, reaffirming India’s position as a cultural leader in the digital age. An estimated Rs 10 crore was invested in the live broadcast and digital production.

To make the performance visually captivating, organizers incorporated cutting-edge 3D visual effects, high-definition digital projection, modern stage design, and sophisticated lighting techniques. These elements transformed the traditional Ram Leela into a cinematic spectacle, where ancient devotion met modern creativity and allowed audiences worldwide to experience the divine story of Bhagwan Ram in a breathtaking, immersive format.

Over 250 artists from Mumbai and Delhi, including celebrated names like Bhagyashree, Vindu Dara Singh, Shahbaz Khan, Anil Dhawan, and Sunil Pal, brought the epic to life through their powerful performances. Adding a touch of global glamour, Miss Universe 2024 and Miss Universe 2025 made special appearances during the event, beautifully blending India’s cultural richness with international acclaim.

Interestingly, this grand digital journey began during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, when restrictions on gatherings inspired organizers to stream the event online. What started with 16 crore viewers that year has now grown nearly fourfold, reaching 62 crore viewers in 2025. This exponential rise reflects how Ayodhya’s Ram Leela has embraced technology to reach devotees beyond geographical boundaries, turning faith into a global experience.

Ayodhya’s digital Ram Leela has become more than a religious event, it now serves as a cultural bridge connecting nations. Founders and organizers Subhash Malik and Shubham Malik have played a crucial role in transforming the Ayodhya Ram Leela into a global digital marvel. Guided by their vision, the event has evolved into a powerful symbol of how India’s heritage, devotion, and artistic excellence can bring the world together through the timeless art of storytelling and performance.
