Rahul Gandhi ‘Vote Chori’ Hoax Exposed: Yogendra Yadav admits campaign has no proof, only lies to malign PM Modi

Rahul Gandhi’s much-hyped “vote chori” campaign has been exposed as a baseless hoax after his advisor Yogendra Yadav admitted it carries no proof and is purely a propaganda tool to malign PM Modi

Rahul Gandhi’s credibility crisis has deepened one of his trusted advisor and long-time political strategist Yogendra Yadav has openly admitted that the Congress party’s much-touted “vote chori” (vote theft) campaign is not based on evidence, but rather designed to malign Prime Minister Narendra Modi and erode public trust in India’s electoral system.

This stunning confession not only shatters the Congress narrative but also states a larger pattern in Rahul Gandhi’s political career manufacturing falsehoods, repeating them endlessly, and using perception as a weapon to undermine institutions whenever electoral setbacks pile up.

The Congress scion is no stranger to the politics of deceit. In the 2019 Lok Sabha election campaign, Rahul Gandhi declared in an interview with India Today that he would “rip Modi’s credibility to pieces” and “shred it apart.” He did not speak of defeating Modi with policies, governance, or vision, but through persistence in spreading lies until they appeared believable.

That same strategy is now at play in the “vote chori” narrative. Instead of presenting proof, Gandhi and his coterie are running a propaganda machine designed to manipulate voters and create distrust in democratic processes.

The cat is out of the bag.

Rahul Gandhi’s advisor Yogendra Yadav has struck again — openly admitting that the entire “vote chori” campaign has no proof. It is being peddled only to sow seeds of doubt, malign Prime Minister Modi, and project Rahul Gandhi in a favourable light.… pic.twitter.com/2hqPvxDfGx

Despite fiery speeches and frequent press conferences, Rahul Gandhi has categorically avoided the three most important legal steps:

  • Filing an affidavit before the courts.
  • Submitting a formal complaint to the Election Commission.
  • Pursuing judicial remedies available under law.

The hollowness of Gandhi’s accusations becomes more evident when one recalls how similar claims have already been demolished in India’s judiciary.

  • The Supreme Court and the Bombay High Court dismissed allegations of electoral malpractice in Maharashtra.
  • The Madras High Court rejected a PIL based on similar charges in Karnataka.

Despite these verdicts, Gandhi continues to scream “vote theft” in rallies, never daring to submit proof under oath. His propaganda thrives only in the political theatre, not in the halls of justice.

In his September 20 interview with Arfa Khanum Sherwani of The Wire, Yogendra Yadav conceded what was already clear to many observers: the “vote chori” campaign has no factual basis.

“This is about perception, not evidence,” Yadav admitted, revealing that Rahul Gandhi and the Congress ecosystem are deliberately cultivating suspicion—even among BJP supporters by insinuating that the ruling party is engaged in electoral fraud.

Vote Chori campaign is not about going to Court and Prove facts. It is a game of PERCEPTION and sowing seeds of DOUBT in the mind of Voters against Modi and this time Rahul is succeeding with the plan! pic.twitter.com/mdG09zp1Nh

Yadav went further, dismissing legal remedies as “pointless.” Instead, he emphasized that Rahul Gandhi has successfully shaped public sentiment through repetition of lies, exploiting social media platforms like WhatsApp and Instagram to plant doubts among Gen Z and fence-sitters.

The so-called “vote theft” narrative is thus nothing more than a calculated conspiracy to tarnish Modi’s credibility, delegitimise the Election Commission, and project Rahul Gandhi as a victimised crusader.

What makes this episode especially alarming is how seamlessly it fits into the Congress party’s larger strategy of attacking India’s democratic institutions whenever outcomes do not favor them.

The Election Commission has been relentlessly demonized, with Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar personally targeted by opposition leaders. The judiciary is frequently branded “compromised” or “biased” whenever verdicts go against Congress interests. Even constitutional reforms such as the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) drive in Bihar have been smeared as part of a grand conspiracy.

This repeated assault is not aimed at the BJP alone but at the foundations of Indian democracy. Rahul Gandhi’s politics thrives on weakening trust in institutions, not strengthening them.

Rahul Gandhi and his allies are not just accusing PM Modi they are indicting the very electoral machinery that has stood as a global benchmark for integrity and scale. The damage inflicted by such lies is not easily reversible.
