The holy city of Ayodhya is preparing to host Deepotsav 2025 from October 18 to 20, with the Yogi Adityanath government promising the most spectacular celebration yet. This year’s Ayodhya tourism festival is designed to combine age-old traditions with state-of-the-art technology, making it a once-in-a-lifetime experience for devotees, tourists, and cultural enthusiasts.

The highlight of the Ayodhya tourism festival will be a 45-minute projection mapping show at Ram Ki Paidi, narrating the epic journey of Lord Ram’s return to Ayodhya. The multimedia laser show Ayodhya will recreate episodes from the Ramayana in a visually stunning manner by using projection mapping, laser effects, fireworks, music, and live storytelling. More than 100 artists will participate, supported by elaborate stage settings, traditional costumes, and choreographed performances that blend heritage with innovation.

Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh announced that the program is in line with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision of bringing alive the glory of Treta Yuga in modern times. He said that Deepotsav 2025 Ayodhya will not only revive the joy of Lord Ram’s homecoming but will also showcase Ayodhya as a global cultural destination. The festival is expected to achieve a 26 lakh diyas record, with earthen lamps illuminating the ghats of the sacred Saryu River. This grand lighting ceremony will aim for a new Guinness World Record, offering a breathtaking sight to visitors.

The three-day festival will also feature a 200-meter-long display of Ramayana tableaux (jhankis) depicting various episodes from the Ramayana. These tableaux will combine live performances with advanced animation and visual effects, creating an immersive narrative of Lord Ram’s story. The tourism department has emphasized that the blend of traditional music, narration, costumes, and stage décor with modern technology will offer audiences an unparalleled cultural experience.

Officials have confirmed that preparations are in the final stage, with Ayodhya being adorned in vibrant colors, decorative lighting, and thematic arrangements. This shows the spirit of devotion. Lakhs of devotees, pilgrims, and tourists from across India and abroad are expected to attend, turning the city into a hub of spirituality and festivity.

Beyond its religious significance, Deepotsav 2025 is being positioned as a cultural extravaganza on the global stage, merging tradition, culture, and innovation. With its record-breaking scale and unique presentation, the event is set to highlight Ayodhya’s identity as both the city of Lord Ram and a shining symbol of India’s cultural heritage.
