Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to immediately begin the registration process for filling vacant posts of Home Guards. The decision aims to strengthen the state’s disaster management and law enforcement support system, while also creating new employment opportunities for youth. According to the instructions, a new board will be formed with the help of the Police Recruitment and Training Board to oversee the recruitment and selection process. The maximum age limit for applicants will now be 30 years, replacing the earlier upper age cap of 45 years.

Individuals who have prior experience in disaster management will be given priority during registration. This will ensure that trained and skilled candidates contribute to the state’s emergency response and public safety system.

The Chief Minister stressed that the selection process must remain fair, organized, and should be based on merit. He also instructed the officials to prepare a new set of frameworks for registration and streamline the process so that quick appointments can be ensured.
