Owing to the spiking cases of racist intolerance and physical assaults on Indians in Ireland, the Indian embassy in Dublin has issued a public advisory and has urged the citizens of India to ensure their personal safety. The Indian embassy posted the advisory on the X platform and cautioned the Indian citizens against visiting isolated or remote places, especially in odd hours.
The Embassy also wrote that it is considering the case with the concerned authorities of Ireland, and in case of any exigencies, Indians are instructed to approach the Embassy via its emergency contact network.

Increasing Attacks on Indians
In recent days, several attacks on Indian citizens have been witnessed in Ireland. A brutal assault on a 40-year-old Indian man was carried out in Tallaght, Ireland. In another incident 32 a 32-year-old man of Indian origin was attacked near his apartment in Dublin, and he suffered from a bone fracture and multiple other injuries.
An Irish woman who was an eyewitness to the incident and who helped one of the victims to rush to the hospital says, “At least four to five Indian men have been facially stabbed by the gang of teenagers in the last four days in Tallaght. The victims are completely scarred of life”. “The series of physical assaults on Indian across Dublin are stimulated by racial motivation”, she adds.
The migrant advocacy group of the country says that there have been systemic issues in the country with respect to hate crimes. “The latest target has been the Indian community, but such attacks are not exclusive to them”, says Teresa Buczkowska, CEO of the Immigrant Council of Ireland.
