Shubhranshu Singh, Global Chief Marketing Officer at Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles, has been appointed as an inaugural member of the Board of Directors of the Effie LIONS Foundation, a newly established non-profit headquartered in New York State. Singh’s selection to the board highlights a strategic emphasis on India and South Asia, regions he will represent in the foundation’s global outreach.

The Effie LIONS Foundation, officially formed in January 2025 following the acquisition of Effie Worldwide by Informa plc—owners of the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity—is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. It aims to educate and empower the next generation of marketing professionals with a special focus on underrepresented communities. The foundation brings together leaders from global brands, media houses, academia, nonprofit organizations, and advertisers to shape the future of marketing talent.

In his role, Singh will serve as a voting member of the board, contributing to the foundation’s mission and long-term financial stability. His responsibilities will include shaping educational programs, ensuring industry-wide diversity in talent acquisition, and connecting with fellow thought leaders to drive forward a more inclusive and future-ready marketing ecosystem.

“This appointment is a great honour and a responsibility I cherish. India and South Asia are vibrant regions full of young, dynamic minds. It’s imperative that we channel their potential into the global marketing community through education and empowerment,” said Singh in a statement.

Board members will meet twice a year—once in January, typically in New York or London, and again in June during the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity. In addition to his core responsibilities, Singh will also serve on two key board committees, helping steer strategic initiatives and programmatic development tailored to regional needs.

Singh’s inclusion signals the foundation’s commitment to embracing global diversity and incorporating regional insights into its vision. With his vast experience in branding, communication, and leadership across geographies, Singh is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the foundation’s activities in India and South Asia.

The Effie LIONS Foundation is set to become a critical driver of industry transformation, working to ensure that marketing’s next generation is more inclusive, representative, and globally empowered than ever before.
