In a major security development, authorities recovered nine live bombs from the residence of Bakul Sheikh, a man reportedly associated with a madrasa and identified himself as a “scientist,” in the Khargram area of Murshidabad district, West Bengal.

The explosives were discovered during a search operation conducted by local police. Following the discovery, the West Bengal State CID bomb squad was called to the scene. The squad successfully defused all nine bombs, preventing any possible threat to public safety.

Police have taken Bakul Sheikh into custody for further questioning. His background as a Terror Operative has drawn attention, and investigators are working to determine the origin of the bombs, their intended use, and whether any larger network is involved.

The exact nature of the explosives has not yet been disclosed publicly, but officials confirmed that all devices were neutralized without incident. The area around Sheikh’s residence was cordoned off during the bomb disposal operation to ensure the safety of residents.
