New Delhi: As security forces neutralised the General Secretary of banned Communist Party of India- Maoist (CPI-Maoist), Nambala Keshav Rao alias Basavaraju in an encounter on May 21, Maoist terror group of Turkey namely ‘Turkiye Kumunist Partisi-Marksist Lenininst (TKP-ML)’ has released a statement, paying tribute to the dreaded Maoist leader.

The group in its statement has further termed the People’s Liberation Guerilla Army (PLGA) – armed wing of the CPI (Maoist) as its sibling army, hinting close collaboration of PLGA with other Maoist’s outfit operating in separate countries.

In a video statement, the Maoist group operating in Turkey said “We send our condolences to all the workers, peasants and laborers of India, especially to the fighters and commanders of our sibling army PLGA. We respect the memory of the immortals and declare our eternal commitment to their struggle.”

While describing the incumbent Union Government of Bharat as Hindutva fascist regime, the Maoist party further hails the work of Basavaraju, a man responsible for orchestrating several brutal attacks in Bharat, leading to death of hundreds of security forces, politicians and innocent civilians.

The Maoist group in the statement has further pledged to continue with the so-called “struggle of masses” and “to leap even further on the illuminated path of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism in the flowing struggle of the masses like a flood. The absolute victory of the People’s War will shine like a star in the skies of South Asia.”

It is to be noted that security personnel in a significant campaign launched in the forests of Abujhmad neutralised Basavaraju and 26 other hardcore Maoists in a fierce exchange of fire on May 21.

The operation which turned out to be a major achievement for the forces was launched upon receiving credible inputs about presence of the dreaded Maoist leader who masterminded several deadly attacks such as the Dantewada ambush that killed 76 personnel of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) to Jheeram massacre which resulted in death of several politicians including former minister Mahendra Karma.

The operation was part of the larger ongoing campaign namely ‘Operation Kagaar’, aimed at eradicating the Maoist terror from Bharat. It is noteworthy that the Union Government has announced to eradicate the red terror from Bharat before March next year.
