Swadeshi Jagran Manch to soon launch Swadeshi, Swavlamban and Surksha Campaign

At the outset, Swadeshi Jagran Manch congratulates the Prime Minster Shri Narendra Modi for conceptualising and ensuring success to Operation Sindoor. Operation Sindoor has not only proved the political will of the present Government to take severe actions against terrorist but also established the commitment and preparedeness of our defence forces.  Another revelation was the great success of Make in India Program especially in defence production.

Our forceful retaliation to Pakistan’s misadventure has also brought to light our friends and foes. It is a welcome decision to snap or reduce trade relations with those countries which have helped our enemy in this recent war. Trade and war canot go together.

Another very important aspect which has been realised during this time is that we have to make our country self-reliant and let not depend on others especially the unfriendly countries.

SJM welcomes the call for Swadeshi by the illustrious Prime Minister of Bharat, Shri Narendra Modi in a public meeting in Gandhinagar (Gujarat) The Prime Minister said that “we will have to make traders take a pledge in every village that they will not sell foreign goods no matter how much profit they make.” It is true that despite the patriotic public boycotting China and other foreign goods, imports from China have increased in the last few years.

The reason for this is that Chinese goods are also sold in India in a disguised manner; sometimes by removing the Chinese label in the markets and putting the Made in India label, sometimes by e-commerce companies and foreign brands violating the rule of origin and sometimes by importing from China in the form of intermediate goods. By getting the traders to pledge that they will not sell foreign goods, the Prime Minister has made a meaningful and practical appeal to encourage and enhance manufacturing in the country. Swadeshi Jagran Manch believes that following this appeal of the Prime Minister, patriotic traders will play an important role in stopping the flood of foreign goods in the country.

For some critical material at the moment being imported from China being a part of global supply chain, Make in India Scheme especially involvement of MSMEs will put an end to those imports in near future.

Swadeshi Jagran Manch also appeals to all the institutions, organisations and individuals of the country to support this appeal of the Prime Minister. Some people think that it is not practical to stop the import of Chinese and other foreign goods in the country, because of China’s trade competitiveness. Indian goods will not be able to stand in front of cheap Chinese goods. Along with this, some people also believe that most of the imports that come from China have no alternative in Bharat. In this context, Swadeshi Jagran Manch wants to underline that the Bharat of 2025 is capable in every respect and alternatives are available for every item in the country. India is presenting the best alternatives for almost all goods including defense, telecom, electronics, space products, chemicals, solar panels, wind energy, toys, semiconductors and digital products.

Due to the improving infrastructure and payment system in India, our production cost is also decreasing. Today we are ready to make our mark not only in the domestic markets, but also in the world markets.

All the karyakartas of Swadeshi Jagran Manch are always ready for this work to remove the hurdles coming in the way of making India a developed nation by 2047.

The need of the hour is self-confidence. This statement and appeal of the Prime Minister will awaken this self-confidence. Swadeshi Jagran Manch appeals to the traders, industrialists and all the countrymen of the country to join the yagya of making India a developed, prosperous, strong and great nation by 2047 by minimizing imports and taking the country on the path of Aatmanirbhar Bharat. We also call upon Research Organisations and Technical Institutes including Higher Educational Institutes to develop indigenous substitutes, to reduce dependence on foreign goods.

SJM itself is planning to take a big initiative in this regard and to encourage all the citizens to use of local goods as against the foreign goods , by making it a janandolan. Soon Swadeshi Jagran Manch will give a renewed call for Swadeshi, Swavlamban and Surksha Campaign; aimed at motivating all countrymen, including masses, traders, industrialists, startups, technocrats, with special emphasis on youth and women folk, to boycott Videshi goods and adopt swadeshi for the sake of our self reliance and defending the nation from foreign onslaught.
