Amid the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the postponement of the remaining papers of the CA Final, Intermediate, and Post Qualification Course Examinations (International Taxation – Assessment Test) scheduled between May 9 and May 14, 2025.
Citing the prevailing tense and volatile security environment in various parts of the country, the ICAI issued a formal statement late May 8, night modifying its earlier announcement dated January 13, 2025. The revised examination schedule will be notified in due course. The institute has urged candidates to regularly check the official website www.icai.org for further updates.

“In view of the tense and security situation in the country, the remaining papers of Chartered Accountants Final, Intermediate and Post Qualification Course Examinations [International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT AT)] May 2025 from May 9 2025 to May 14 2025, stand postponed,” read the official announcement from ICAI.
The postponement comes in the aftermath of India’s strong retaliatory strike on May 7 targeting terror launchpads and infrastructure across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), following the gruesome April 22 massacre in Pahalgam, J&K, which claimed multiple civilian and security personnel lives.
