RSS pays tribute to Dr Kasturirangan: A visionary scientist, educationist, & patriot who shaped Bharat’s future

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has expressed profound sorrow and extended heartfelt condolences on the passing of Dr Kasturirangan, the former Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), renowned scientist, and a significant figure in Bharat’s educational and policy reforms. Dr Kasturirangan, a Padma Vibhushan awardee, was widely regarded as a global leader in the scientific community and played a pivotal role in shaping Bharat’s future through his visionary contributions.

In a tribute to the late scientist, RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat and Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale highlighted Dr. Kasturirangan’s immense impact on Bharat’s space program and his lasting legacy as a policymaker and educationist. The RSS leadership remembered Dr. Kasturirangan as a noble humanitarian, compassionate individual, and a patriot whose work transcended his role as a scientist.

Dr. Kasturirangan’s tenure as Chairman of ISRO was marked by groundbreaking achievements, propelling Bharat to the forefront of global space exploration. His leadership in ISRO led to significant advancements in satellite technology, making Bharat a key player in the global space community. His achievements in the space sector remain a testament to his brilliance and dedication to the nation’s progress.

Beyond his work in space science, Dr. Kasturirangan made substantial contributions in the realm of education and policy. His involvement in formulating and implementing the National Education Policy (NEP) of Bharat was seen as a historic moment, one that will continue to shape the country’s educational landscape for generations. As a visionary in the field of education, he pushed for reforms that have revolutionised the way knowledge is imparted to the youth of Bharat.

The RSS also acknowledged Dr. Kasturirangan’s work as an environmentalist, his commitment to sustainable development, and his holistic approach towards national progress. His ability to seamlessly blend his scientific expertise with a deep sense of responsibility towards society and the environment made him a beloved figure across various sectors.

In their statement, RSS leaders Mohan Bhagwat and Dattatreya Hosabale said, “On behalf of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, we express our deepest condolences to the family and admirers of Dr. Kasturirangan. While paying tribute to this great patriot, we pray to the almighty to grant a place to the holy soul in His lotus feet. Om Shanti.”
